Avon 3.5m Rib Rigid Inflatable Boat Mariner 30hp With Custom Console And Trailer

Welcome to my listing for my beloved Avon Rib Custom Boat. I got it with just the tiller engine and have made a lot of improvements. The project was to have a rib small enough to garage but comfortable enough to enjoy fast cruising at sea. I have had many boats and I’m too old to bounce around on a hard rib floor risking being bounced out! It had to be able to take another person (my son) so we could enjoy the sea together.
He has been on a donut with this craft and it’s a lot of fun. The first thing I added was a console. This was a new console from Plancraft Ribs in dorking and just that set me back £1500. Added a Raymarine RC435I chartplotter, Garmin 140 Fish Finder, Icom VHF radio GPS speed over ground gauge, Nasa Marine depth sounder and voltage meter. Although the fish finder measures depth, the chartplotter speed, I always like to have backups. All units are waterproof and where fitted, siliconed in. Because I was able to fit the console, the remote controls come from just behind the console neatly. The console is both screwed with stainless screws to the floor and fiber-glassed too.
I fitted a folding seat for person number 2 with two stainless boat brackets which are rated up to 140KG each. The fuel tank sits neatly under the seat and the fuel line comes out of the console neatly with the remote cables. This boat is fun, small enough to store and launch with ease, big enough and powerful enough to cope with choppy seas. There are two brackets for two go pro Hero 7’s which I paid £350 each for. The plan was to do some boating with music over video and see if I could get some hits on you tube but never got around to it.
These Go Pros will come with the boat if the asking price is achieved as it would be a shame to take the brackets off. It is a good feature though as if you are a boater, you know that every time you go out, something happens that you didn’t expect and catching that on camera is gold. It has been well maintained and runs perfectly, pumping lots of water. I prefer 2 strokes because they are lighter and quicker to power up should you need that power to get the nose up over a wave! On a more choppy day, it is easy to get this boat completely out of the water! There is a cover that covers the whole boat while it is outside. It will also come with three self inflating life jackets, two adults, one baby one.
The Nav lights at the back fold down as does the VHF aerial. Please see picture. This little boat represents amazing value for money for someone.
