Avon Rover 340 Rib For sale is this Avon Rover 340 rib. Including two oars and the seat across the middle. It does NOT include the ‘jockey’ seat (shown in the last picture) or the trailer it is currently sat on. The jockey seat is for sale on another separate classifieds board listing of mine. This rib was donated to Hythe Sea Scouts and 100% of this sale will go to their funds.

The scout group spent Four hundred pounds having it professionally made very sound at Rib Repair LTD (Lymington) you can see the patches they installed in the photos. The scout leaders have now decided that we have other boats which better suit their needs so we have decided to sell this. This is a very tough rib and has many years life left in it. The tubes have some discoloration; however I suspect that some hard work with the right cleaning products could make it really gleam again. Having been repaired at Rib Repair they hold air very well as they should.

Handy forward locker ideal for keeping essential items in. It has been antifouled by the person who donated it to us as they left on a mooring while they we away sailing. Again I believe this could be removed with some hard work. It also looks to me like the hull is in good condition. Starting bid set at the money spent on it at Rib Repair.
