Those who are familiar with RIBs will know that the Avon Searider range of craft are the best built, longest lasting and most seaworthy craft of their length anywhere on the planet and this particular example has been the subject of a complete refurbishment. Whilst this is not a young boat, it really is in good condition for its age and has had a significant amount of time and money lavished on it to make it a totally reliable/dependable all-round family/commercial/rescue or just a safe fun cruising boat. The interior/console has been stripped back and repainted, the steering system is new, the Yamaha 40hp variable ratio oil injected two-stroke outboard with power trim/tilt, has just received a total new parts rebuild by one of the UK's most respected outboard engineers and comes with a 3 month warranty. The galvanised trailer which comes with winch/jockey wheel is as new, being only 18 months old and has never been in salt water.

In an identical craft with the editor of RIB Magazine, I circumnavigated Scotland from Inverness back to Inverness rounding Cape Wrath and the Pentland Firth and my friend did a cruise around Ireland in his similar Avon Searider, proving that you don't need a big expensive craft to achieve amazing experiences!
