Avon Searider 4m Rib Mariner 40hp Magnum And Trailer Deluxe Seating Layout

Avon Searider 4m powered by a Mariner 40hp Magnum outboard engine, on a road trailer. A classic 4m Searider RIB with the sportsboat style closed bow, windscreen (rare) and back to back seating layout. Most suited to leisure use than the rescue style centre jockey console layout. The seats are the very rare genuine Avon Searider back to back seats with the AVON SEARIDER logo embossed into the backrest. They have some splits, but are generally in good useable condition and could be restored if the purchaser so desired.

Now becoming quite rare and collectable, this boat could be brought back to original condition with some TLC, or just enjoyed as is. Benefiting from a powerful Mariner 4-cylinder 2-stroke outboard engine with oil injection, electric start and power trim/tilt. Engine remote control box situated in between the two front seats with key start and trim switch. Engine starts and runs as it should, pumps water and doesn't get hot. Power tilt and electric starts works, steering and control cables are very light and easy to use.

The external fuel tank is located up in the bow and the battery under the seats. The tubes and hull have been painted (so don't look great up close). Originally the tubes were the traditional grey colour in the heavy duty Hypalon fabric and the hull was orange. I suspect the hull and tube paint could be removed to restore the original finish. The tube paint does seem to come off with acetone on a small test area.

There are a couple of small patches on the tubes. The original flooding hull design is still there (often the holes were filled in) so it's really stable at rest.
