Avon Searider SR4 RIB with a lightly used 2016 Evinrude ETEC 30 outboard with electric power trim and tilt control at the helm position. The engine has less than 40 hours run on its electronic log and both engine and Evinrude controls appear nearly new.The Avon’s hull from 2001 is sound, strongly built and in good serviceable condition overall. There are some chips and scratches in the original orange gel coat on the hull. A new steering cable has recently been installed.The tubes were professionally patched and checked overall prior to our purchase and continue to hold air well. We have always kept the boat under cover in a dry garage.ETEC engines are direct injection two strokes with advanced engine management systems and no requirement to mix oil in with the petrol as with older two strokes. They are much cleaner running than older two strokes and are acknowledged to comply with strict emissions standards (see the “EU” commendation on the engine leg in the photos provided).

These Avon RIBs are renowned for their good seakeeping qualities.ETEC engines tend to be lighter weight overall than four stroke engines of the same power. They have fewer moving parts and thus tend to require less maintenance. Servicing is available in major boating centres.The boat comes complete with a heavily built Indespension Coaster 1 galvanised road-trailer dating from 2001 with a new winch, two new wheels and tyres, all new wheel bearings, new jockey wheel and two spare-wheels with tyres. Accessories also included are:- overall boat cover in reasonable condition (some new securing straps required) , engine cover, engine lock and hitch lock – both of insurance approved type, Garmin Navigator GPS 72 with mounting bracket on top of the helm position, Garmin Marine-Band VHF 725e handheld radio, a near full 3.8 litre container of Evinrude E-Tec XD100 engine oil, boat tube inflator pump, and finally, instruction manuals for the engine and accessories.
