Avon Sport Rib 4.0 with Yamaha 15hp 4 Stroke Power Tilt Outboard with Trailer This Boat has been in storage for the last few years, I can't honestly say when it last saw water other than when the outboard was started last year with some flushing muffs on. The trailer was purchased new in the early 2000s and I think only got used on the road properly 2, maybe 3 times before the boat was put into storage. Same goes for the Outboard, as you can see in the pictures the engine is like new and as I have said it was tested last year and runs beautifully. The battery for the outboard no longer holds any charge but it will jump start and run, and the power tilt function works great. I actually think this may only have had 1 outing which was on Loch Lomond (fresh water) but I cannot be 100%.
As you can see in the pictures it has a steering wheel rather than a tiller arm and a 'proper' throttle lever with a 'dead man's' switch / kill switch toggle thingme. As for the boat itself it is a Rigid Inflatable Boat don't know what year, which other than the front floor section, holds air pretty well. I don't think the floor section is a bad air leak so shouldn't be a difficult fix however please be prepared that there may be other leaks. As per the pictures you can see that the front section is covered (keep your picnic dry) but what is not pictured but is included is a waterproof cover for the whole boat which is in a reasonable condition for it's unknown age. What you see in the pictures with the boat is what you get, which is to include the buoyancy jackets, oars, fuel tank anchor and some patches.
The waders in the background have already gone unfortunately. The boat has been dry stored on it's trailer all it's life. I'm selling it on behalf of my Grandmother. It was used by my Grandparents when they were in their 70's when they would take it up to Loch Lomond and only stopped using it when it became difficult for my Grandfather to handle on the trailer as old age took it's toll on his hips and knees. Sadly my Grandfather died in 2014 and I am only now getting round to selling this.
I'm not what one might call 'boaty' so all I can tell you is what my Grandfather told me about the boat, engine and trailer and what I can see. I'd be very reluctant to split the package as I don't want to be left with any of it Any questions please ask away and I'll do my utmost to answer as best I can. I will not negotiate any price or complete any transaction without the buyer having seen it first so please don't bother sending offers of '£500 cash, I'll take it this weekend' I simply will not respond. That said, viewing is obviously welcome, however only serious interested parties please as I would have to get it out of storage which is a bit of a chore. Once sold I will not accept any returns or refunds, it is sold as seen and not sold without having been seen.
Cash on collection or BACS transfer.
