5.4m Avon SeariderVery sturdy, good sea-keeping boat. Fantastic Yamaha 2-stroke oil injection outboard with power trim-tilt. Boat was purchased new by a sailing school in the late 1990s. Believe the engine to be newer. I purchased it about 5 years ago.

In my ownership it's been used as a big toy, fishing trips, diving trips, safety boat duties and general workboat. It has been laid up for the last year as another, much bigger boat, is taking all my free time. It has been advertised before and I've had my share of time wasters and dreamers. The honest description: It has been a working boat all of its life, it is not to yacht or showroom standard. At the moment it's in need of a clean.

Cleaned up its not unpresentable. The tubes are good and hold air, they have heavy duty fendering and a couple patches. The engine runs great, super reliable two stroke, oil injection, power tilt, bulkhead mounted external fuel filter. Recent Numax marine battery. New steering helm and wheel.

Hallmark rollercoaster trailer, fitted with new wheels, tyres and bearings. (I would consider splitting boat and keeping trailer) Boat is quite economical to run, will do 38-42 knots. Flooding hull so is stable when stationary. Very strong hull and fantastic in good weather. Storage below seat and in a box to rear of seat.
