Hypalon Avon 5 Man Rigid Inflatable Boat Rib Tender Yamaha Power Tilt Outboard

A rare opportunity to purchase a very low hours outstanding example of one of the last Avon Rover 340 Hypalon 3.4M ribs built. The 5 Man rib has been fitted with the maximum rated outboard for this boat which is a top of the range 20hp Yamaha four stroke power tilt and electric start model that’s just been serviced. This is the 20hp BEPL Yamaha that retails at £3709 outboard only. Originally purchased In Salcombe and maintained regularly by Yeowards Yamaha dealership. The package was sold by us last year and has been used in the lake district and in freshwater by the previous owner who has just upgraded to a large Rib.Also included is the trailer which we purchased new in March 2018, a 350kg Extreme Roller trailer which still has 12 months warranty (£755) and all over quality Rib cover (2018) and Deluxe steering wheel.

The boat is one of the most popular Rigid Inflatable Boats on the water and one of the last of the Avons. This is a great size for the family as it is easy to handle, very cheap to run, a fantastic sea boat and it will fit into a standard garage. Avon Hypalon ribs are very popular as motor yacht and sailing yacht tenders, Hypalon ribs are capable of handling harsh environments and intense sun and ultra violet, the Hypalon fabric and the build quality are the reason these boats are so sought after throughout as they last so much longer than many other cheaper boats with Polyurethane tubes. The tubes are in really good condition with no patches or repairs and the interior is virtually unmarked.Avon 340s also have a long transom unlike other 3.4M ribs making them more seaworthy and drier especially from the backwash when you come off the plane.This is a great boat and an extensive package.

It can easily be stored in any garage. The boat is Cat C and rated for 5 Adults + luggage and there is ample room to move around the boat safely and to load equipment and gear for the day. Definition of Category C:Category C - Inshore: Designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 2m may be experienced. The boat is in exceptional all round condition everything is in perfect working order as you would expect from a well cared for boat.

This is a nice light package and if you did ever get caught out by the tide or run up on a sand bank she could be easily re-launched. The boat tows very well thanks to a brand new trailer to be registered in your name and with 24 months warranty from collection. It is very easy to launch and recover on your own. OutboardThis set up has a 20hp four stroke power trim and electric key start engine ( 2 keys) which is very reliable and economical. It has just been serviced and won’t need servicing again until April 2019.

It is also the largest power tilt model you could fit to this rib (60.5kg) as the 25hp PTT model weighs over 70kg and this boat is rated for 62kg. The power tilt is a very nice feature when coming to shore and rare on smaller boats. The boat comes up quickly on to the plane and is fast, practical and very economical and will go all day on a tank. It is perfectly balanced with this 20hp Yamaha which has very low hours and has been well looked after, it is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic order with just a few light blemishes to the cowl. It runs perfectly starts effortlessly on the first flick of the key and pumps plenty of water.

Always meticulously washed through with no corrosion. Comes with two keys and all the manuals. Ready to go with a great battery and a 12 litre fuel tank This fourstroke outboard is amazingly economical and practical and ideal for pulling a junior on inflatables or a wakeboard and will go all day on its 12 litre tank with general use. Meets the latest EU laws and is approved to European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWV­TA) standards. Comes with lighting board and the boat will be strapped on with ratchet straps.
