Hypalon Avon 9Man Rigid Inflatable Boat Rib 40hrs New Trailer Efi Four Stroke

An outstanding Hypalon 2011 Avon Adventure 470 Rib, thought to be the last Avon Adventure ever built. It’s in remarkable, immaculate condition with just 40.7 hours use. There isn’t a scratch on the hull or the outboard, not even a faint mark as it’s been meticulously cared for, hardly used, always kept inside and has never been near a beach or slipway. There are no patches or repairs, It comes with a brand new 750KG roller trailer built June 2020 with 24 months warranty from collection. The 2011 fuel injected four stroke outboard has just been serviced and with just 40 hours use and without a blemish is literally as new.

The outboard has also been fitted with Yamaha remote security, rarely stolen as only a Yamaha dealer can unlock the system. (2 remote fobs and 2 keys). Also included is a Garmin 160 colour depth/fishfinder with alarms and a brand new all over cover.The package was sold new in 2014 and is the latest and without doubt the best condition Avon Adventure available in the UK or most likely anywhere. This particular model is one of the few Avon ribs that has removeable tubes there are no patches on this rib, but if you did have to get it repaired rib repair companies will guarantee the work with Hypalon as it is better to repair than PVC .

This is an expensive option on other ribs normally a few thousand on a 5M boat. The hull has not been antifouled just polished and is in as new condition. It is fantastically strong with a thick grp double skin and five chamber half meter diameter tubes making this boat a very capable boat for almost any conditions. This is probably the most ideal size of RIB for sport and family fun as it is easily manageable single handed, cheap to run, a fantastic sea boat that gives you a really safe feeling with young family. We have sold several similar ribs to yacht owners, the brand, Hypalon tubes, four davit lifting points and 3 point tow bridle setup make them very popular as either Davit slung or deck stowed tenders.

The boat weighs 455kg as it is (600kg with the trailer) and would compliment any yacht. The brand names Avon and Zodiac are the most well known brands in the world. Zodiac developed inflatable boats and it was Avon under license from Zodiac that fitted a solid hull to Zodiac tubes creating the first Rib at Atlantic college in Wales in 1964. The B class ‘Atlantic’ life boats and the first rib for the public, the Avon Searider in 1969 were produced, Avon and Zodiac are now a generic term in most parts of the world, together they have been going strong for over 100 years. Avon adventure ribs are not available to buy new anymore but this 470 hull is now used for the Zodiac Pro 500. The Pro 500 and Avon 470 are one of the most highly regarded ribs available, these boats were designed to be tougher than the rest and withstand Avon/ Zodiac’s rigorous safety tests and to have a higher level of quality than the majority of the market.

The hull section is fantastically strong with no weak points around the transom typical of some ribs due to large longitudinal supports, a thick grp double skin and five chamber half meter diameter tubes made of thick Hypalon fabric make this boat a very capable boat for almost any conditions. Avon Hypalon is a better grade than many other Hypalon ribs on the market today. This Rib still has it’s original finish on the tubes as it has only ever been rinsed with water, no abrasive products have been near the tubes which has kept the finish in pristine condition. With a maximum of 9 passengers the Avon has a payload rating of over a tonne (1060kg)This rib is fitted with a practical steering console with additional seat in front which offers a good amount of storage with a large bow locker with bow cushion which is comfortable for two adults. The 25 litre fuel tank is under the console which means there is plenty of storage under the seat and with the bow locker ample room for gear for the day.Many ribs have a poor seating layout but with this rib you can comfortably seat five on cushions and with a maximum of 9 adults, it’s a very practical rib for two families.

It is perfectly set up with a 2011 40 hp EFI fuel injected Yamaha 40 hours power trim and tilt electric start four stroke outboard that has just had a service. RIB 4.7 Meter built October 2011 but not commissioned until 2014 in super condition, we have had over 300 boats through the business and it is rare that they come in in this condition. The hull literally doesn’t have a scratch, the same as with the interior and outboard. No repairs and the tubes stay rock hard. The interior is smart, unmarked, with cushions tubes, deck and stainless steel all in excellent condition.

There are two very small marks that you wouldn’t notice unless pointed out at the back of the tubes that may well come off but we haven’t tried as they are unnoticeable otherwise the boat would be indistinguishable to a new boat. The Garmin 160C is a colour display very accurate depth sounder/fishfinder with water temperature and alarms for shallow and deep water. The boat is Category C rated:Category C definition - Inshore: Designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 2m may be experienced. The outboard is a real gem and starts first flick of the key and runs so quietly, it has plenty of power for this rib as it is a fuel injected four stroke. It is in as new mechanical and cosmetic order, it accelerates very impressively and smoothly and feels so stable at speed , The 40hp EFI outboard is practical for this rib and ideal for watersports, It is lightweight and a practical size and has the advantage of not costing a small fortune each time you take it out.

This is a pristine engine. It starts first flick of the key, always meticulously washed through with no corrosion. It has Yamaha -COPS (customer outboard protection system) security which is an expensive extra and means you can remotely lock your outboard with the fobs provided. The only way to unlock the outboard is through a Yamaha dealer and so you know your boat is safe when left. Avon sadly stopped making the Adventure range in 2011 but this hull lives on as the Zodiac Pro 500.

We think this is the last one ever built and sold new in 2014. If you did buy the same boat in Zodiac form with Hypalon and EFI Yamaha + new trailer it would be over 20K Trailer The trailer is a Brand new 750KG Extreme roller trailer built June 2020 and comes with a 24 month warranty from collection.The roller trailer is very well engineered and makes launching and recovering single handedly a doddle. It comes with a brand new trailer board and the rib will be strapped down ready to go, you will just need a number plate. The proportions and layout of this rib are just right, it’s an ideal boat for any family and for all watersports. The size and seating layout make it practical for two families with plenty of room to move around and for stowage for the day.Avon Ribs hold their money so well so you know your investment is safe.
