Bayliner 175 2007 Bowrider - 135hp - 45 knots ! ‘Barney’ is a UK supplied boat from Northern Power Boats Limited. First registered in May 2007. I bought Barney from the original owner in June 2008 and have owned it ever since. Barney has always been stored ashore during summer months, firstly in Pembrokeshire at Rudders Boat Yard on the Milford estuary on an store and launch facility and latterly at Blackness Marine on the river Dart (Dartmouth) on a indoor dry stack facility.The dry stack at Blackness is currently paid up until the end of September 2021. The annual cost to keep it there is c.£2,200. Places on this stack are in high demand and you would need to discuss the possibility of retaining its place on the indoor stack with the owner of the facility. Barney is a 2007 boat so it has the usual signs of wear and tear but overall I think it is in very good condition for the year. The gel coat could do with a polish and some of the original cover poppers need replacing.I have winterised Barney each year myself and then typically had the boat yard service it each spring depending on the amount of use it had the season before. The engine has never failed us. There are the usual signs of rust where salt has got to it but nothing a wire brush and bit of spray paint wouldn’t fix. The bellows etc look good but I would recommend a leg service at the end of this season. Our family has enjoyed using Barney over the years but with all the distractions of family life Barney hasn’t been used heavily.There isn’t an odometer so I can’t say exact hours but I would suggest an average of say 20 - 30 engine hours a year plus plenty of hours fun swimming and lunching at our daytime anchorages ! The engine can push Barney to speeds above 40 knots although we rarely go there. It is easily capable of pulling a water skier, kneeboard, wakeboard, donut etc. We’ve only used a donut and kneeboard. The trailer hasn’t been used (or moved) whilst Barney has been on dry stack in Dartmouth so it will need a full service before it is used.It is a single axle braked snipe trailer. The brisk connection has been disconnected for some years. It is stored with Barney at Blackness Marine. Barney comes with star anchor and chain, enough to anchor in around 30ft of water; Bimini; factory supplied covers (which haven’t been used for several years); generic winter top cover (classifieds board purchase c £100); three self inflating life jackets; three buoyancy aids we use for kneeboarding; set of fenders; depth sounder / fish finder; original documentation. Barney is a great boat and ready for someone new to enjoy it for the summer.The pictures taken on the pontoon are from yesterday, the rest are from recent years. Any questions then please ask.
