2008 Bayliner 185 The boat was imported brand new from the USA and I bought if from the man who imported it. He used it twice and it was practically brand new when I got it. It has got the full CE cert from American import boats and I have the paperwork. It is a Bayliner 185. It has a 3.0 ltr TKS Mercruiser inboard.
, Bimini Top, Tanneau Cover, Power Steering and Lowrance Elite-5 Sat Nav (Wales map) fish finder with sonar pod fitted. It is on a braked SBS trailer with flushing kit. The Bayliner 185 is a fantastic boat for smooth water either on the sea or the lakes. It is very fast and very good on fuel. It has lots of room with fold down seats that convert into sunbeds and a convertible sun deck at the back.
There is plenty of room at the front. It has towing eyes for water skis etc and under floor storage for skis etc. The boat has been kept at our caravan park in Wales since we bought it and had been used for approx. 40 hours. It has been serviced in Barmouth by the same mechanic that looks after the lifeboats.
The motor has been flushed for at least 30 mins with fresh water after each use and runs and starts first time with no problems at all. The reason for selling is that we just do not get the use out of the boat and it’s a shame to just leave it sitting there without anyone using it so we decided to sell it I have included a few pics and a link to some YouTube clips of the boat on the sea last month when we took it out. No fancy pics and I have not washed the boat to take them :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch? V=Bh6pqwtQEN4 https://www.youtube.com/watch? V=lFdfO-sHo9g Bad bits: The boat cover has a rip at the front seem and needs a repair but it still covers the boat.
As we use and launched the boat from the beach, I dragged the boat over a rock a few years ago (I actually put the rock there!!) and this scratched a 10 inch mark in the clear coat (see pic) This makes no difference to the boat and can be repaired easily with a repair kit if you want to. The Bimini cover zip is stuck as we have not used it in a few years but this can be sorted with 10 mins and some WD40. There is a slight bend in the jockey wheel from us towing the boat up the beach last month and the towing strap slipped. I will try to fix this next time I go down but it might not be and I wanted to mention it. One of the console light panel buttons fascia nuts has come off and it just hangs under the consul.
This makes no difference and can easily be fixed. The boat trailers roller wheel locking star washers all need replacing, I have the replacements and will try and replace them the next time I am down the site but the buyer might have to do it as the boat needs to come off the trailer to do it. It’s a 10 min job as they just push on once you pull the old ones off. Boat is located in Barmouth Wales and this is where it will be collected from once sold. Priced to sell at £8600 cash on collection or before.
