Bayliner 1850 Capri Bowrider - Mercruiser Sterndrive

Selling my late fathers 1990 Bayliner 1850 Capri Bowrider. I am sad to sell but I cannot afford to spend the costs in fixing it up, nor do I want to endure the stress in doing so. Story of the condition and reason for sale of boat This is the honesty story of the condition and history of the boat. The boat was bought by my father in 1991 in Windermere from brand new. He took immense care of it through out his life, I have receipts of a lot of work done to the boat over the years (at least the paper work that I have found when sorting through his stuff).
In 2018 unfortunately my father died and due to a will dispute and a legal battle I was not allowed to attend to the boat and so it was sat outside his property all the way up until 2020. I was looking forward to take over the boat and as it had been left to me, I wanted to relive the days I spent on the boat in my childhood. The first time I had seen the boat since my fathers death, the boat had collated a lot of rain water on the cover and leaked into the boat, flooding the engine compartment up to the alternator (I have plenty of photos showing the damage). The weight of the water was too much for the starboard windshield, and so the frame had bent slightly and the glass had smashed. The trailer frame was in good condition, but the brake lines, brakes, brake drums were all corroded by rust.
The axel, and winch were worse for wear and needed attention. I was very devastated considering I might have been able to do something if I was given access. But i've come to accept it is what it is. I have dried the boat out, and removed every shard of glass from the carpet and starboard seats. I've removed the windshield frame and tried my best to salvage any parts as best as I can (I do know original Bayliner parts can be very expensive in the UK).
I have also cleaned the seats, vinyl, swimming deck and hull across the boat as best as I can considering the age of the boat. I managed to get as much grime and residue from the rain water from out of the engine compartment but there is some dry residue still remaining in areas. I am not proficient in the care and attention a boat needs to maintain it's condition, but I had got someone to look at it for me. The boat was tested during 2020 to see if it started by blue water marine based in Pwllheli. Surprisingly the boat did start but it was very noticeable that new parts were needed for the engine, e.g starter motor, alternator etc.
The guy had suspected my father had put some anti freeze in the engine to protect it during the winter as it was generally in an ok-ish condition. They provided me with some information about the condition and mentioned a few things that the boat would need. They also suggested I could replace the glass in the windshield with plexiglass considering the cost of obtaining an original window. I can provide a detailed list of recommend things the boat would need to run again. Condition The hull of the boat is in good condition considering the age of the boat.
It has a few marks/scratches that are on the underside of the hull. It could also possibly benefit from a sand and re-paint, but I am unsure. The chrome around the boat is also in good condition considering the age of the boat. It has not faded all too much, but could do with a good polish. The Vinyl seats and pads are in a decent condition considering the age, years of use and grime from the rain-water.
There are marks and stains in a few places, with one rip in the rear of the boat. But the majority is in good condition with no fading or discolouration. The carpet is overall in a good condition. However some areas are stained due to the rain water and could do with a carpet clean. There are no rips or tears as I am aware of.
The electronics have not been extensively tested so I am unsure if they are working or need attention. However, the dash, wheel, trim and overall structure of these items are in good condition. The starboard windshield glass has smashed and the frame has bent slightly. There fore has been removed completely. The remaining windshield windows and frames are in decent condition, but the metal might benefit from some treatment.
The engine is currently non-running and will either need new parts or some attention to run again. The prop and stern drive seem to be in good condition, but I do no know if there any internal problems without running the engine again. The trailer frame is in good condition. But the brake line, brakes, drums will need replacing. The axel, winch & winch strap and rollers will need some care and attention.
I have cleaned the boat with some soap and water as best as I can. I have removed all the grime and dirt as best as I could. Thank you for reading.
