Up for sale is a very nice Bayliner Cierra Sunbridge 2755 that is 28 foot in length. I have owned the boat for 4 and a half years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Especially last summer during the pandemic you could get away every weekend and forget about all the tragic events going on around the world. A great way to de-stress. I’m only selling because I’m getting a bigger boat, I just love river cruising, although this boat doesn’t half have some power, you definitely need to be holding on if you put the gas on!!!
The boat had anew canopy just before I bought it – cost £3000 I had the boat service ed when I bought it - £600 The boat had a very small leak coming from the steering system out to the out drive when I bought it. I put up with it for a year as it auto bilged out fine, but decided to get it fixed, with the lift out, engine removal, full service, all water seals replaced and anti foul coat, the cost was £2500 I then services it myself for the next two years and then last year I had the works done, lift out, full engine and drive leg service, every single water seal replaced (just to be sure) I had the anti foul scrapped off completely back to fibre glass and then the full 6 protective coats, hull polished, the cost was £3500 I have the receipts for all the above – I have meticulously looked after this boat This boat will now not need to come out of the water for 4 years, which is nice to know. The boat had a new 5.0 litre V8 Mercruiser engine installed in 2008, it is a 2006 model and cost £10,000. Since fitting it has hardly done any work going up and down the rivers so it is crisp and tight and has many many years left in her. The boat also had a hull survey a year before I bought with no issues reported apart from the leak in the stern which I have fixed.
I will try and get some pictures of the inside next time I go to the marina (the two shown are after I reupholstered the bow beds last year), she’s moored in Newark on Trent. Inside is an L-shaped settee near the cockpit, a straight settee at the rear, all in good condition. Inside in the bow there are two single beds and a table that collapses down to make a double, and under the cockpit in a massive double bed that is extremely comfortable. I get the best nights sleep when I’m on the boat, it’s pure bliss. There a toilet, show and sink in the bathroom, a sink downstairs, and also another sink out in the cabin, she’s well equipped.
Bad points – the hot water and electric hob don’t work, I’ve never looked into either of them, I either use the paraffin burners on the hob, or mainly use portable gas hobs. Everything else works s it should. I renamed the boat to Doom Barge (after the beer) I wouldn’t mind keeping the name and renaming her to whatever you want at my cost, but we can discuss. No silly offers, whoever wins this boat will not be disappointed – My number is 0phone, please message first, I’m usually in meetings all day
