Bayliner Cobra 2250.

For sale is my 1987 Bayliner Cobra 2250. It is fitted with a Chevrolet 5.7V8 engine and an out drive. When it was first launched in the US it was known as the Mustang of the boat world, similarly when launched in the UK it was known as the E-type Jaguar of the boat world because of its innovative design. The boat was first owned for about 25 years by a family in Illinois then sold to a film company who used it for a period film (I have no idea which) at this time it was fitted with a reconditioned engine and drive. It was then sold off to a family in Ohio which is who I bought it from and imported it to the UK.
I have rewired the trailer to UK spec but it does have a 2 inch hitch fitted so it needs a 2 inch towbar fitted to the car towing car, I have these from my own vehicle. The photos of the boat in the water were taken in Lymington in 2017, the boat has not been used since then and has been stored on my driveway under its original cover. The boat now needs a good clean the engine needs servicing and it needs some repairs to the seats and upholstery, this may need recovering completely. This is an opportunity to purchase a classic, unique boat, only five were imported to the UK at the time of the boat show, most of which have probably perished and this one is number six which I imported from the US. I suggest (insist) that you inspect the boat before you bid.
I did sell this boat last year the guy bid the full amount without inspecting it but never viewed, paid for or collected it. Why do people do this? The winning bidder must pay £500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction and collect the boat within 10 days unless agreed otherwise, returns not accepted.I have the boat advertised locally so I reserve the right to withdraw it from auction at any time.
