Birchwood 25 Exec. Motor Cruiser.

For Sale our sons Birchwood 25 Executive Motor Cruiser.Kerry has 4 births in the cabin with a possible two more in the cockpit.She is a capable coastal cruiser and her low air draft makes her suitable for rivers and inland waters.Her Hull is a GRP semi-displacement type, she cruises at 16 knots and has a max speed of 30 knots from the Volvo Penta AD 31p (1999) with a duo prop outdrive, which has hydraulic steering and electric trim she is also fitted with auto trim tabs. The engine hours are recorded as150hrs, the fuel capacity is approx. 175 litres. The cockpit floor hinges to allow daily checks of the engine, whilst the surrounding floor lifts to give better access for servicing. Fitted to the stern is a swim ladder and a set of snap davits.She has a spacious cockpit which easily seats 6.
Both the helm seats were replaced in 2018.To starboard is the gas locker which is fitted with a bubble leak detector which holds two bottles and drains overboard. The port locker holds the fenders whilst the stern locker holds deck gear plus warps etc. There are two smaller lockers under the helm seats which hold oils, grease and spares. To port under the forward cockpit deck are two batteries in a box ( one engine and one house). In the centre section is the fuel tank and to starboard is a large storage area.The helm is to port with a console mounted wheel, with the morse controls mounted to the cockpit coaming.
The console also contains the engine instruments plus instruments for Fuel, Angle of outdrive leg, depth of water, GPS and the main electrical panel. To starboard on is mounted a VHF radio connected to a new aerial fitted this year. Two windscreen wipers are also fitted.The interior of Kerry is open plan. On entry the Heads are to starboard with a Jabsco heads with sea cocks outboard all of which was replaced in 2018, also present is a small sink with pumped hot and cold water. To port built into the main bulkhead is a large locker which contains access to the rear of the main console, a smaller aux 12v fuseboard with its own feed and main switch, 12v socket plus bluetooth sockets and a large amount of storage space.
Above is the gas detector and to the right is a radio and tv amplifier with feed and 12v sockets with fire extinguisher mounted above. Next is the dinette which comfortably seats four under which is a vast amount of storage. The forward seat houses the microwave in its centre line facing end. The back of the forward dinette seat forms part of a large locker contains a cutlery drawer plus shaving the top of which also hinges to permit further access.Opposite the dinette is the galley which consists of a Spinflo Caprice cooker, a crockery cupboard ( containing the water filter), a enamel sink drainer under which is the Electrolux fridge. The hot water is supplied from a clarifier mounted in the engine bay which along with the cold water is fed from a pump under the starboard V Berth a pressure regulator is mounted by the clarifier.Forward of the dinette and galley are the V berths which contains the 100 litre water tank. Forward is the bulkhead giving access to the chain locker which holds the chain and rode for the the bruce type anchor which fits the new stemmed fitting (both 2021). In the floor of the cabin is a largish locker ideal for chilling wine and beer or maybe coke.The main cabin windows were replaced in 2018 just prior to us buying Kerry and have silver screens which give better insulation.
