PROJECT BOAT. ON SALE FOR MY FRIEND. You are bidding on a circa 1970's Birchwood 33GT, twin diesel, shaft drive, aft cabin cruiser.The engines start and run well. Gear change is very smooth. Steering is positive.
The Birchwood 33GT is a spacious cabin cruiser and in the hands of a knowledgeful person could be restored to her former glory. The boat is a centre cockpit, aft cabin boat.Access is gained from either side into the centre cockpit. The helm is port side and fitted with a swivel seat. The dashboard is clear and well laid out.There a single seat behind the helm seat with the battery master switch located in this location.Stb side is additional seating with the gas locker beneath.The cockpit has been re upholstered in the last couple of years. Moving aft, you step down into the aft cabin.
The cabin has fitted storage lockers, en-suite with chemical loo, hand basin and storage. Moving forward through the cockpit, you step down into the saloon.The dinette is port side and will seat 4+ adults. Storage below and behind the seating.Opposite is the shower and toilet compartment. There is a manual sea toilet, hand basin, storage and surface space.The shower tray needs sealing properly around the edges. Please see the photo.Next is the galley.this is fitted with a stainless steel sink and drainer.Gas hob, grill and oven.Gas hot water heater.THE GAS SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN USED IN APPROX 18MTHS AND NOT BEEN RECENTLY TESTED.
HAVE PROFESSIONALLY CHECKED AND TESTED BRFORE USING. Moving Fwd to the Fwd cabin is fitted with two small storage lockers (Wardrobes). The bed base has rotted through. This is from the windows and dewck hatch leaking.The roof liner has been removed due to water ingress. The GRP is on good condition with the usual age related damage (Aft corners).NO BSS, No River Licence.
Mooring not included. Known Faults.Windows leak, Fwd cabin deck hatch leaks, Fwd cabin roof lining removed, Fwd cabin bed base rotten (see photo), Woodwork has water staining. Gas system not tested. Shower/toilet compartment needs new surface and shower tray properly installing. Please only bib to buy.
