Grp River Cruiser "pearl Fisher"

Pearl Fisher Pearl Fisher is a Buckingham 20 GRP motor cruiser, manufactured circa 1981, and fitted with a Mercury 9.9hp 4-stroke outboard. She is 20ft long with a 6.10ft beam, which is its width at its widest point. I have owned and loved this boat for 15 years and have nothing but great memories using her. I am only selling as I am moving away from the area and cannot take her with me. She is currently moored on the River Cam (Cambridgeshire), at Lode Marina She sleeps 2 people inside.
The two single beds can be combined into a double if desired. The rear cabin will seat 4 comfortably. As I tend to use the boat for evening trips up and down the river (to the pub!), Sunday afternoon picnics, or for long weekends in nearby Ely or Cambridge, I removed the toilet area and kitchen sink to create more storage. A porta potty could easily be stored in one of the cupboards, which is what I currently do. If you wish to reinstall the plumbing, all of the necessary pipework is in place, along with a fresh water tank below deck.
The cabin is basic but roomy. A table can be set up between the two bench seats for meals inside. I'm a little over 6ft tall, and chose this boat because it's one of the few that I could stand up in. All of the seat cushions were re-upholstered in 2021, and are in great condition. Scatter cushions shown in the photos are also new, and would also be included in the sale.
All of the fenders shown will be included, along with some new fender ropes which will smarten them up. The canopy had its seams restitched and a couple of fittings replaced in 2021. There are no tears but it is starting to fade from continued UV exposure. The wooden handrails and wooden fenders would all benefit from being sanded back and revarnished. The windows are perspex, and could be replaced with something more modern (e.g.
Tinted), if desired. Mooring posts (and mallet!) will be included, along with a set of mooring ropes. If you happen to be local and want to keep the boat on the River Cam, you will also receive keys for the pump out station / waste point which is situated in Ely. The boat was last anti fouled in 2019. It's probably good for another year or so, but if you are taking it away on a trailer this would provide the ideal opportunity to re-treat.
Given that the boat is just over 40 years old, it's understandably showing a few signs of wear and tear; however it looks quite charming when given a wash and wax. She's a great day boat / weekend cruiser and very simple to use. If you're new to river boating she would be ideal, and I'm sure she will give her new owner a lot of pleasure. Boat Safety Certificate valid until May 2024. Last engine service 2020, since when the boat has done about 20 hours max.
