Chaparral 2350SX Powerboat

Chaparral 2350SX Sports Cruiser A classic American powerboat with deep vee hull produced from 1988 to 1994. Length 23ft 3 inch Beam 8ft 6 inch Engine: Mercruiser 5.7 V8 350 Magnum with Mercruiser Alpha One outdrive leg. Stainless steel 4 blade Laser prop. Engine has carburetor and I believe its supposed to be around 300hp. Used in lots of boats around this size.

Consumption about a gallon an hour on tickover and approx 35l/hr at 3300 rpm, approx 24 kts. The boat is currently located on the dry stack at Hamble Point Marina, Southampton, SO314NB and can be viewed any time during the duration of this auction. A sea trial is possible until the 1st April at no cost, after which time launching and recovery will have to be paid by the prospective buyer. The Chaparral is in clean and tidy condition but its in original condition and over 25 years old and it would probably benefit from some TLC. The engine and drive have been professionally maintained by the same company for the last 16 years and most of the ignition system has recently been replaced, but expect some low level electrical items not to work.

The interior was re upholstered last year in a water resistant material and the bathing platform covered in Flexiteak composite decking. The VHF radio and Sony CD/Radio works fine. There is a removable table that can be used as and infill to make a double bed in the cabin, Sink with small fresh water supply that drains overboard, coolbox and Portapotti cassette type toilet. Externally she is clean but could do with a good polish. Included is a full canvas cockpit cover and a removable tarpaulin spray hood with stainless steel frame.

Anchor with chain and rope, mooring warps and fenders. The navigation lights don't work. The dry stack berth could be taken over or storage ashore on a ground rack provided by MDL. A forklift is available for lifting on to your own trailer.
