Chaparral Signature 31 with twin 2006 Volvo KAD32 Diesels with only 150hours from new! Huge spec. 1995 Caparral Signature 31 Sports cruiser with large sociable cockpit and plenty of comfort below decks. Suited for coastal cruising, this twin-engine boat offers amazing low cost performance with its twin 170hp KAD32 Diesels. The boat will achieve around 33kts at full power but is happy to cruise around all day at 22-23kts with Falmouth to the Isles of Scilly in less than 3 hours.

Carpe Diem also benefits from a Built in Mastervolt 8Kva generator, which will run everything on board even when under way.The boat had full new canvas cockpit covers in 2017 with full set of the old covers for winter lay-up also included, also new in 2017 - a Simrad GO9 XSE plotter/radar/depth with South West charts loaded. This system also has a backbone fitted into engine room ready to add any engine instrumentation to the GO9 that you wish.The 1995 Chaparral 31 Signature was built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam and a solid fiberglass bottom. The mid cabin interior is arranged in the conventional manner with double berths fore and aft and a convertible dinette in the salon. Both sleeping areas are fitted with privacy curtains, and the galley is easy to access and use with fridge, stove, sink and microwave. On deck, the cockpit floor is flush from the transom forward, which is rare in a mid-cabin cruiser.

The L-shaped lounge opposite the helm converts (with the aid of an insert) into a sun pad and the bench seat at the transom folds away into the transom bulkhead when not in use. Additional features include plenty of cockpit storage, a hidden swim ladder, cockpit/transom shower. Engines & Electrics:Powered by a pair of 2006 Volvo Penta KAD32’s, 170hp diesel engines and their respective drive legs. Since being re-engined the boat has seen very little use and has only clocked up around 150hours on each of the engines. As you can see from the photos both engines and legs are in exceptional condition. It also benefits from a fairly large engine bay with excellent access for servicing. There are a bank of 4 12V batteries providing engine start on 2 complete individual systems.

Separate generator starting battery. These are recharged via the engine alternators or the smart battery charger when on shore power or even the on-board generator when on a mooring if required. Full pressurised on board hot and cold running water. Water heated by engines when under way or alternatively can be heated very quickly with the 240v heater via the Generator. On board Generator:New in 2006 at the same time as the engines at a cost of approximately £7,000 the boat was fitted with a Mastervolt 8Kva inbuilt generator.

This is perfect for running all the on board 240v electrical systems even when away or at anchor. It is possible to have everything electrical running on the boat even when under way i.e. Heating, oven, hob’s and boiling the kettle. In my opinion this is much safer than having gas on a boat. Air conditioning:The boat is fitted with fully functioning air-conditioning.

This is amazing on a hot summers day as it is possible to make the cabin ice cold. When the days are getting cooler and you still wish to be out on the water the air conditioning doubles up as warm air heating all running off the on bored generator. She could do with a good polish and some gel coat repairing in the odd place hence the price. You will not find a cheaper twin KAD32 Diesel on the market particularly with only 150hours.
