Chris Craft 23 Concept Cuddy American Power boat Project, powered by a Volvo Penta 5.8 litre engine and a Volvo Penta SX "Z Drive" with a stainless steel propeller, -- giving a top speed of 45MPH. Engine starts and runs, but needs the wiring sorted before it can really be used Sale does not include the 4 wheel trailer, though delivery at an agreed price can be arranged? Year of manufacture of the boat 1995The boat has stood unused for 2 years, (but was serviced and winterised before being stored)The engine starts and runs smoothly, with the trim and tilt mechanism functioning as it should, but the wiring to the fuel injection needs sorting/replacing and the engine really needs a service before use. The engine can be seen running. The 5.8 Volvo Penta V8 is complete, starts, changes gear, revs easily, Oil pressure is good, but the wiring loom in the engine bay needs to be looked at and maybe some of it replaced. As stated, the engine starts, runs, has good oil pressure, but don't expect to put the boat in the water and using it next day! The rest of the boat is in good overall condition, but would benefit from a full professional valet, to bring it back to it's best. The hull condition is excellent and with a little elbow grease, the gel coat will regain its full shine.
Lower hull has been antifouled, (not very well) and it will need to be rubbed down and re-antifouled -- or have the antifouling removed-- before it goes back in the sea, or lake. All the upholstery is fitted, but it does show some signs of use, with a couple of small stains and marks. A really good professional valet will remove a lot of these imperfections.Front captains seats x2 are in good condition, as is the rear bench seat, but the "sunbed" section, behind the rear seat, needs attention and the marine ply base needs to be replaced and the hinges need to be re-attached to the frames. The Cuddy is in almost immaculate condition, and looks virtually unused, with the cushions and upholstery pretty much as when she was built.Storage under front bed cushions of bedding/clothing, accessories etc.Cushions are clean and look almost unused. Underneath the section in the middle of cuddy bed, is a lift up section to access a portable toilet. On the left hand side, there is a small basin and a hand water pump, while on the right hand side there is a recess to fit a camping gas cooker unit.Seat sections just inside the cabin doors can be either raised to make a full size bed, or lowered to give 2x side seats, either side of the 2 piece door unit. There is a full canopy set, as seen in photo's which has removable side sections which allow for a very versatile canopy system that combined with the area in the entrance to the cabin,, gives a spacious inside/outside feel to the cockpit area.It is also there to keep both spray and bad weather off the captain and passengers. All sections are all in good condition and will give good service for several years to come, though some of the poppers fitted to the hull need to be re-fitted.Canopy has 4x separate sections, 1) full canopy enclosing the whole cockpit area, making a spacious dry seating area for eating or socialising.2) Bimini cover open to keep the sun off the passengers, or can be rolled away into a sleeve and left fitted and standing overhead of the cockpit.3) Removable front see thru screen in 2 sections, easy to fit and take off.4) Removable side section and rear sunbed cover.
5) Also included is a fitted tonneau cover which is shown, this is more used, but is functional and keeps the worst of the weather out, but it needs several new poppers to be fitted. Cabin/cuddy double doors fitted for privacy and can be locked for security when the boat is unattended.Cuddy has 2 small port holes fitted on either side and a roof ventilation hatch fitted with curtain to shut out the light.Extra storage under all the bunks in the cuddy/cabin.Garmin Fishfinder unit fitted.Windscreen has an opening centre section, with built in "step up" to allow access to the fore deck to moor, or anchor up.Lots of storage under the rear bench seat for fender/ropes and personal stuff. This Chris Craft 23 concept is a quality American built boat, quite rare and sought after in the UK and in tip top condition, it would be selling for somewhere around 10-12K. This one has several small things that need doing, so grab yourself a bargain.Tech specs for the Chris Craft Cuddy concept 23ftLength: 22′ 9″ Beam: 8′ 3″ Draft: 2′ 10″ Weight: 3900 lbs Fuel tank size: 62 gallons Water tank size: 8 gallons Hull type: Deep V Deadrise: 20 degsPlease only bid if you can complete the sale and also collect.if you want to view, please get in touch to arrange a time. The trailer may be sold at a later date.Buyers please get in touch within 48 hours, my details are in the " Business seller information" at the bottom of the page and payment and collection within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed. This is obviously a "used" item and has some scratches and scuff marks on it, so even though it says "returns accepted " you have read the details, looked at the photo's, maybe come and viewed the boat, so giving it back isn't an option, but I can't get the "returns accepted" to switch off on the page! Collection only Prefer payment in cash on collection.I would consider P/ex on a Toyota Amazon 4x4, (under classifieds board rules)
