Ski Nautique 196 Tournament Ski Boat By Correct Craft

For sale 2001 Ski Nautique 196. Bought last year from a business acquaintance. The boat had been inactive for around 3 years at the time of purchase and was in need of a little TLC. I have undertaken a fair amount of refurbishment which means the boat now looks very fresh and tidy. Upholstery has been replaced throughout, swim platform has been restored, new battery, alternator, plug leads and spark plugs, impeller, oil and filter changed, new steering cable, new coil, fuel filter replaced and probably a few other parts that one would naturally replace during preparation.

The boat sits on a UK legal trailer, I have replaced crash pads and tidied up guide poles but brakes and bunks are both in need of attention. This has not been a ski school boat, this is reflected in overall condition of the boat. It comes complete with original rear seating which is quite unusual. Previous owner informed me that hours on the boat were between 1100 and 1200. I finally used the boat on two occasions last year.

After around an hour of use on both occasions boat would stall and would need to sit for several minutes before starting again. I left the boat with a local marine service centre in September last year but unfortunately as of June of this year they had failed to find available time to diagnose the fault?? They suggested fitting a new alternator, something within my capabilities but did not solve problem. I have tried a couple of other parts as listed above but my expertise is very much limited to screwing on simple parts. It took me two years to source an affordable ski boat but I have no further patience or time to deal with this.

I would assume the issue is relatively straightforward and will be more than willing to discuss my experience with the boat up to now. The boat does start and run first time and sounds perfect. If a buyer can provide me with a concise diagnosis and cost to rectify fault I will negotiate on price up to this point. My description will be perfectly honest The boat is located in County Down, Northern Ireland. We use a local freight company who could arrange cost effective transportation anywhere in the UK if required. If you want to come and take a look I will collect any potential buyer from any of the local ports or airports. Bank transfer would be the preferred payment method but as long as cleared funds are in place we should be fine.
