Four Winns 205 Sundowner Power Boat

Four Winns 205 Sundowner I bought her back in 2015, since then used her in 2016 before changing my job which now means I don’t get enough time between house/family things take her out hence this sale. I’ve priced her to reflect the few things I haven’t been able to get to and won’t be able to for months. I’d rather be honest and give someone to get the chance of a lovely boat with a couple of small things to do to get her on the water for the summer. People who know a little about boats will recognise that Four Winns is not your normal weekenders speedboat. They’re well made, solid and stable, even when at top speed (I’ve taken her to 50 mph but there still a bit more to go) She’s classed as a 21 feet coastal cruiser and has a 30 US gallon tank which allows a decent trip to be taken.

I had a full marine survey when I bought her and have contacted the surveyor for a copy to pass to the successful buyer if he still has it. Work done after I purchased by Ridge Boat Centre in Dorset included: New universal joint, all seals replaced. Gimbal and bellows checked and serviced. New fuel pump New distributor and rotor New alternator Wiring loom tidied Small scratch to gelcoat repaired approx. 6 inches – gelcoat matched as best possible Since then I’ve replaced annually, despite using her only 3 times in the last 18 months:Impeller Fuel filter Winterised Changed oil (engine and leg) Re-greased all greasing points Extra maintenance Both engine compartment hydraulic struts replaced Full light grey anti-fouling (this has at least a season as I’ve always stored her on land on the trailer) Bearing strip down on trailer and repacked with grease each year - If towing any distance please check as I’ve only used the trailer to store and launch All wheel discs stripped back and painted with Hammerite Interior information Driver and passenger seats swivel to enable small table to be used for food, drinks etc Bench seat can be made into lounger with extra cushions – stored in cabin Sun deck also on engine hatch Cuddy all good condition – cushions and covers stored off boat during winter, lights working CD radio Horn Depth gauge and warning depth limit Speedo – I had the new pitot sensor ready to replace – 10 min job Bimini top and surrounding side panels all there but never used New swim ladder bracket fitted – white painted stainless steel to replace aluminium previous one Porto potty never used Storage hatch Engine Volvo Penta OMC 5.7 GLi running a SXDP leg with Duo Prop Runs well and has been properly winterised each year – each winter I also cover key areas with silicon spray, the white parts in the picture I also have a new idle air control valve to fit as the old owner mentioned he did this every 3 years – again 10 mins to unscrew and replace New impeller will need to be fitted too – approx.

In the field next door is an excellent campsite and the farm has its own slip-way which is perfect and not busy. The big advantage is that you can flush the engine with clean water on the way home after going out on sea or Poole Harbour. All Harbour dues for this year are paid too. Ridge boat centre is a few bends along the river too where fuel is available so no messing around lugging jerry cans about.

I’ll transfer the storage to the new owner if required within the price until the end of the summer too.
