For sale is our Four Winns Horizon 170, model year 1998, sitting on a Parrymore galvanised trailer which was serviced last year with bearings, brakes and new hitch lock. We also had an adjustable trailer board mount fabricated for easy removal etc. We believe this is the original gel coat, overall condition is very good and polishes up very well. There is the odd mark as can be expected. The Four Winns is fitted with a Volvo Penta 3.0gs engine and Penta SX Cobra leg, both fully serviced last year.
Electric trim. Seating for 8 people. The centre bow cushions can be removed, with lockers under the outer bow seats. Windscreen opens for clear walking passage. Driver and passenger seats with the rear facing seats fold flat to give two loungers.
Rear seat cushions can be moved to the top to give one sun bathing platform. One large compartment under the floor for storage. Cup holders all round. Front “glovebox” has an external drain which we use as a fridge for drinks and food- fill it with ice and you`re good to go! Royal blue floor carpets have been removed for cleaning but will be included in the sale.
We are now moving house and won't have the space to store all the toys. We have had this serviced every year irrespective of useage, however 4 years ago, just after we bought it, the engine suffered riser failure and took the engine with it. We had a new Penta engine fitted at a cost of around £4k, with new starter motor, exhaust riser, bellows, alternator, and a full fuel system clean, tank out and flush. This year we went to start it after winter and it ran lumpy. Apparently the carburettor needs looking at as it is pouring fuel into the engine.
We have spoken to Volvo and the cost of a carburettor if they can source one, is more than we want to spend. Considering we won`t get any use out of it this year and from what we have spent on her in the past and the house move means she is up for sale, and needing a little bit of work. We are moving house and would like a nice and easy, smooth transaction. That being said, we know what she is worth and will not entertain any silly offers, and we are not looking for any part exchanges. If she doesn`t sell, then we will find storage and in time, have her back on the water.

The boat has great lines, we wanted a modern look that looked good on the water. The last service had all the filters, new oil in both engine and leg, plus a full inspection including bellows, drive belts, fuel lines- all of which were replaced when the new engine went in. No part exchanges at all, unless its an Aston Martin, then we`ll talk ;)
