Glastron Roger Clark Spirit V165 3.0 Mercruiser - Unfinished Project - Lots New!

Welcome to this reluctantly posted listing for my 3.0 Mercruiser equipped Glastron/Roger Clark Spirit V165. Unfortunately I've had a change in circumstances and will no longer have time to complete the required work this beauty, however, she isn't far away from being ready to go... Brand new Transom ply, front/main engine mount beam, and engine compartment panelling, all fibreglassed and gel-coated in white. Checked stringers when stripped, and in great condition. Engine completely rebuilt including the following: New valves, valve springs, pistons, piston rings, gudgeon pins & circlips, main bearings, big end bearings, oil pump, camshaft bearings, camshaft gear, ignition points, carburettor rebuilt (manual choke), new alternator, new starter motor, new spark plugs, all new gaskets/seals, filters and oil. Any damaged or perished hoses have been replaced with new silicone counterparts.

Manifold and riser both are in great condition, and new internal exhaust flaps have been fitted. Starts first time, every time and runs beautifully as expected. Power steering pump and rack are in good condition. New gimbal bearing has been fitted, and new gimbal boot is present but not yet fitted. The Alpha outdrive has been completely checked, CV joint, gearbox, all bearings and impeller are in perfect condition.

This is in clean condition, but could do with a re-paint to make it look immaculate – New OEM style replacement graphics are present and included in sale. The hydraulic pump for tilt/trim rams has been rebuilt, re-painted and new solenoids installed. The rams themselves have been completely rebuilt with new seals, and re-painted. Hydraulic fittings have been re-machined as the aluminium threads we quite corroded. (New hoses required) The rear of the hull cap was removed for the transom job, but also made for great access when doing work on the engine and other components in the rear of the boat.

All the required fibreglass for completing the repair is present and included, along with 2-part marine foam for re-filling the rear compartments. To do: The front engine mount adjustment threads are quite corroded, so at the moment the engine can't be aligned to install the outdrive. I have the alignment tool present and is included with the sale. Any corrosion I've found in any wiring has been completely removed, replaced, crimped and sealed with epoxy lined heat shrink tubing. A little wiring still needs done though (Mainly at the dash end, for transom light etc.

Most rear wiring is completed.) engine can still be seen running though. Front seats are good (just a bit aged) But the rear seat ply was well rotted, so the seats are currently disassembled, needing new ply – Seat covers are the original (circa. 1980) so brittle in places, but sure they can be saved and re-used. The hinges weren't right, so have new rock'n'roll hinges present to make the rear seat a fold-out bed again. Theres a little bit of ply behind the seats could do with tidying up also.

Both right and left door cards are present, and in great condition (new ply, speakers, vinyl covers) Side trims, rubber strips and chrome side vents are present although not pictured, I'll fit the trims prior to collection though, as they're about the length of my entire garage, so definitely wouldn't fit in any van. Caps for the nose and rears of the trim sections have been repainted. Transom accessories need fitting – Speedo sensor and depth sensor (both brand new units) Transom completely re-plied. New 4x4 engine mount beam. Re-plied & fibreglassed engine compartment Completely re-freshed engine, engine electrics and fuel supply system.

Electric fuel pump (wired with oil press. Safety cut-off) New fuel level sensor Re-built hydraulic pump and tilt/trim rams (incl. New solenoids) New gimbal bearing and rubber boot. New bilge pump and float switch New bilge fan Few new dash gauges, new ignition switch, new dash switches (incl. 12V Charging points) New radio head unit and 4x speakers (usb/bluetooth/etc) New Hawkeye in dash depth sensor New speedo sensor.

New transom light. Boat cover included. The trailer has a new longer jockey wheel fitted, 4x new tyres, new fenders, and a hitch lock. The trailer doesn't seem quite the right fit for the boat, so could possibly do with rollers being adjusted. I also have a lighting board for the trailer, if required.
