Glastron V165 Spirit Roger Clark A very rare version of a popular boat! Glastron speed boat built under licence by Roger Clark Marine in Leicester. Roger Clark Marine set up by world rally champion Roger Clark, they built American Glastron boats under licence in the UK. Roger Clark Marine made some upgrades from the original Glastron V165 spec to make the "spirit" including a full fibreglass floor instead of the wooden floor the US versions got, Mercruiser engine, added gauges, walk through window and Roger Clark Marine interior. This is the inboard engine version (the majority came with a Johnson outboard) making it even rarer!

The engine starts first time every time, runs up to temperature and hold at half way on the gauge all day with great oil pressure, pulls nice and smooth, the trim works lifting the leg up and down quickly, added trailer button to raise the leg all the way up for transport (doesn't drop down overnight etc) All of the gauges work as they should, the steering is smooth and light. The interior is complete and doesn't have any nasty tears or marks, could do with a few hours with vinyl cleaner to get it to match the fibreglass. The hull is in good condition no big dents or gauges, there are some marks here and there and the odd little chip but nothing unexpected for a boat of this age.
The gel coat is lovely and bright, the metal flake it the paint sparkles in the sun so well! Trailer is brilliant, tows smooths, brakes are great and handbrake works perfectly. You may notice one of the wheel arches is missing, it got damaged over the winter, I will try and get a new one picked up and replaced but presume it comes without incase I can't get round to it. Even comes with the original factory light pole and spotlight!! Happy to include a trailer board too - it is a bit scruffy but works fine.
I am sure I have missed something, it is a great little boat, I have done all of the painful jobs to it so its ready to go. I am happy to answer any questions or send more pictures etc if required. Happy to show the winning bidder the boat running on a hose. I could potentially organise delivery but full payment will be required first.
