Sailing Yacht Hurley 22

Welcome and thanks for looking. For auction is my Hurley 22. I bought her 4 years ago from a friend who owned her for 10 years and sailed her from Whitehaven on the west coast of Cumbria. My wife and I then decided for a quieter life sailing on lake Ullswater with "Astarte". In the process of the moving I thought I'd take her home and strip her completely to get a solid boat into immaculate condition.

She was well maintained by her last owner who spared no expense and in 2015 had a brand new Beta 14 inboard fitted by MPM Marine of Maryport at a cost of about 4k. I've had her undercover since and stripped the hull which is in great condition. We found the mast to be corroded so we planned to replace this and the standing rigging. I do have a used mast which can be used included in the sale. Solid hull, 30hrs from new engine and with new rigging she'll effectively be a new boat.

As happens in life we've not got round to getting her back on the water. With new business commitments it looks like I wont be doing that any time soon so regretfully she's up for sale. The pictures I've posted show her both a few years ago and how she is now. Let's be clear she is a bit of a project but well worth it. The Hurley 22 as any google search will tell you is arguably the finest pocket cruiser ever made.

She has a solid hull and almost unused diesel inboard. Complete the rigging and you'll have a solid mint boat that will take you anywhere. I'm selling her with a cradle and whoever buys I will let borrow my trailer for delivery if needed. However, the trailer was hand built by me and is worth at least 2.5 k so I'll need to come with you or you can leave me a deposit until delivered. Any questions please call me, o797o 77o1 65.
