Larson Speedboat Bowrider With Trailer Boat Needs Repairs

For sale Larson Speedboat Bowrider Sadly this boat is being sold due to needing repair before it can be used. It does not presently work so do not bid on this if you do not want a project. The main faults that I know about : Water leaks in to the boat through where the exhaust connects into the back of the engine. This will almost certainly require the engine to come out to repair the part. The part itself should be relatively cheap to fix, but without the engine coming out it seems to be inaccessible.

The starter motor has seized up and will need replacing. The engine itself appears to be sound, but it comes with no guarantees. There was no water in the oil when this was checked, and I have been advised by a mechanic that it is likely to be fine if these repairs are done but I make no guarantee ref this. The main electrics seemed to work fine, but again might need some tlc to be confident before you take it back out on the water. Ancillaries such as lights, depth guage etc no longer work.

Trailer has newly fitted tyres and wheels. Undercarriage of Trailer is rusty and Trailer brake no longer works but the Trailer itself pulls fine, due to rust quantity and age I would suggest it is not suitable for long trips. Engine (petrol) is approximately 125hp from memory. This was newly installed a couple of years ago. It was a refurbished engine that was placed in and it worked really well before the leak developed.

Boat length roughly 5.7m Trailer roughly 6.3m Widest point 2.4m Highest point when on the trailer approx 2m Trailer is included. Also included are parts as pictured such as somw bouys, rope, flares, a spare propeller, and some biminy covers to give a bit of protection in rough weather but please note some of this will require some restitching before use. Sold as seen. Buyer collects. Payment needs to have cleared before collection.

Payment can be cash or bank transfer etc but the cash must have cleared in my account before you take away. I have some paperwork relating to the boat but last time I looked I couldn't find anything relating to the engine itself. Boat will easily take 5 or 6 people and if you make use of the front section you could carry more. It has some storage areas and is a day boat so does not have a cabin area. Collection needs to be within a week of purchase unless a different date has been agreed prior to bids being placed.

Only bid on this item if you intend to actually purchase it. It comes with some age and imperfections, the main issues are as detailed above. Any time wasters will be pursued and all costs to do this will be added to the final bill. If you are a genuine buyer you will not have a problem. Collection is from waterlooville near Portsmouth.
