Hi, This is our Mastercraft Pro Star 190 boat for sale. Ready to go, no work to do. We use it regularly. I have loads more photos, but cant get them on here. If you want more let me know.
It is an LPG conversion, very economical. We use £25 of gas for a 4 hour session full time wakeboard/skiing. I purchased this boat about 3 years ago. It was previously owned by a mechanic - who had taken excellent care of it. I had the interior re-upholstered by Vision Upholstery in Shrewsbury.
It did not include the back seat as this did not need doing. The colour match is good, but if you REALLY concentrate you can tell that the white shade on the new seating is slightly darker than the back seat - but you have to look! The boat has started 1st time, every time. Genuinely it is superbly reliable and never had a mechanical problem. I have serviced and maintained the boat myself, with extreme care taken over oil changes and winterisation.
It will come with some service parts (oil filter etc) ready for start of next season. End of last season it got new steering cable. No other new parts (apart from service items) have been needed or fitted. From the stickers on the boat it looks to have been a club boat in scotland. It would stand to reason that it is reliable now, as it had been regularly serviced an maintained during its younger years.
The boat comes with the cover as pictured, recently sealed. The cover has a good couple of years in it. The swim deck is solid. There is a small crack on 1 bar, but nothing that would catch you. It needs oiling, and I usually do this at the end of the season and at the beginning.
(it comes up a nice colour) but showing it as it is now. The trailer is in good condition. The tyres are in excellent condition and new when we bought the boat. Lots of tread, no cracks. The running boats are fine, and work no problem but the carpet (and boards if you really want) could be replaced mostly for cosmetic reasons.
I have replaced the front wood and carpet, as needed doing. I refitted and replaced the U bolts and clamps for the ski pole as they had worked loose. This was done 1.5 years ago and it is solid as a rock. No equipment is included apart from the fly high wakeboard pole as we need it all for new boat. Cosmetically the boat is in fair condition.
There are some marks/repairs/grazes etc all around the boat, from years of use. It cleans up well, and have never bothered me, as it has been so reliable. I can offer lake tests. I would do this for £35 (£25 lake hire, £10 fuel and bother!) Alternatively I can run the boat up on the drive if you want to see the engine start and running - obviously you won t see the prop turning! This boat is not suitable for the sea (just in case anybody was considering it) and I can confidently say it has only ever been used in fresh water!
We will have some family videos from last week with the boat running and us skiing on the lake, so if you are a serious buyer and want to see them, let me know and we will work out how to sort that out. I have started the auction at £4000. From looking at other mastercraft boats on the internet and classifieds board, I think that is a fair price - we spent more than that when we bought it, and then over £1000 on the upholstery. If you don't have good feedback (+10) then please contact me. I am very happy to show the boat, arrange tests etc - so please note you are bidding to buy, not to come and look.
Also... I have the original cup holder for the engine cover. I didnt re-fit it, as I preferred it without. But its there if you want it. Answers to some questions: Engine = Indmar 5.7 V8Gearing = Velvet Drive (I will give you the appropriate oil)Fuel = LPG - not Petrol (asked if it could be converted back - no idea, and cannot see the point)Hours = No idea! The hours counter works all the time the key is in the ignition.
Its +20 year old boat, the hours are irrelevant (no more questions about hours please!) The condition, running and performance are what matters and they can all be tested no problem at all.
