Mastercraft Prostar 190 (1988)

1988 Mastercraft Prostar 190 in white with blue stripe and white interior with blue stripes and blue carpet. Blue cover and trailer all included. 5.7 litre V8 inboard engine. Also has a boom for learning off. The boat has been owned by the same family since 1993.

However, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances has been sitting unused in storage for the past 2 years. Here are some of the details that will require attention:  • The boat has been based at the same site since bought in 1993 and not been towed on road since, therefore the trailer will require some work including new wheel bearings and tyres. A lick of paint to the frame would make it look like new. Due to these issues buyer would have to arrange a transporter to take away as I wouldn’t recommend towing it too far until these issues were sorted.  If required i can possibly arrange to have new bearings put in and tyres at extra cost.

• Interior will require some upholstery as the front and rear passanger seat base are perished so would need re-covering. Rest of leather just needs a good clean. • Carpet is a bit dusty but would jet wash up nicely. • Outside the front of the hull at bottom has lost some of the gel coat. This has been filled and painted before but needs doing again.

• Engine hasn't been started in last 2 years however, boat ran perfect when last used and engine was winterised and been stored in doors so shouldn’t be any major issues. It has 769 hours on it which is low for year, never had to have any work done to it and was always serviced regulary including oil and filter, new belts, plugs, leads and distributor. Would recommend however with sitting for last two years thats its serviced before using. Also will need a new battery. It has been a very good boat and over the last 26 years of ownership has never let us down.

However, unfortunately it is now not getting used and is a very reluctant sale.   Boats of same age and model are going for double this price at Mastercraft dealer and i would say £1k spent on this boat would make it a very nice looking boat again just needs some TLC. I must make it very clear that the boat is sold as seen in current condition. Any queries please do ask. All sensible offers will be considered (please bear in mind it is already priced low).
