Ski Technique Competition Ski Speed Boat / Mastercraft / Chevy 454 Big Block V8

Up for auction is my ultra rare Ski Technique competition speed boat. I bought this boat about 6 months ago with the intention of doing it up and putting back on the lake. New work commitments are stopping me and I don’t have the time. As you can see from the pictures, it does need a little work. It has the 7.4litre V8 Chevy 454 big block engine which will need re building.

I was told by the person I got it off that the only reason he took it to bits was because it bent a lifter but he didn’t get round to fixing. I’m told everything is there for the engine. I’ve looked on classifieds board and these engines are getting rarer and are making £4,500 for a crate engine and at least £2k for a none runner. The boat comes with a twin axel trailer which will tow once the tyres have some air. I let them down for security reasons.

The main of the trailer is solid and needs a coat of paint. The wheel arches need a little more attention but nothing major of a job. This boat was used as a competition ski boat on lake windermere and I have been told that it was one of the best boats at the time to ski behind. I have never seen one before and believe it is very rare. I was going to list the engine separate but decided against.
