Maxum 1700 Xr Bow Rider Speed Boat 80hp Boat Project

I have had this boat 6 yrs and had lots of fun on it. Mostly wakeboarding and cruising with the family. We are too big for the boat now and i dont have the time or energy to fix it anymore therefore it's time to go.boat carries 4 adults comfortably or a family up to 5 I would say.the boat has not been used in the last 2 yrs. It's spent 1 yr in a shed and 1 yr outside with boat cover on it. It has 80hp mercury outboard on the back.

Electric trim tilt. Hydraulic steering. Boat cover. Canopy. anchor. trailer. Seats go flat to make sun loungers.I had previously listed it for sale without checking it out at all as battery was dead.

So I got a new battery and had a look today and found a few things in need of attention so have therefore cancelled the auction and re listed it with an updated description and photos.what I discovered...engine will only manually trim up and down at moment. It always used to work fine. Now when you press the down trim on the throttle box it makes a clicking noise around the engine (solenoid I think?) but it doesn't go up and down? All hydraulics look fine so I suspect electrical fault? I turned the start key and engine turned over for 3 or 4 seconds.

I tried it again to make sure and this time a clicking at the starter motor? So again I suspect something needs looking at there. I was able to put the engine in gear and turn the prop with my foot so it is not seized.generally the engine looks in pretty good shape. It was always sending through loads of water out the tell tale so that should be fine there. But again without running it take that as needs checking out before use.interior is pretty good.

Mostly just needs a clean and a bit of tlc.trailer. Wheels are pretty rusty. But it moves. It's a row of rollers type trailer so I was pretty happy to launch and land it on my own. 2 people is of course easier.I think that's everything.
