Description:
1998 Maxum 1900SR Bowrider Mercruiser 4.3 V6 This is my 1998 Maxum 1900SR with trailer and wake tower. I have owned this boat for approximately the last 11-12 years. It really was my pride and joy and I will be really sad to see it go. Unfortunately however I have had to accept I am never going to get the time to get the boat sorted out and back on the water. I trailered this boat out to Ibiza back in 2011 where it stayed for a good couple of years and we had some amazing times playing around on it out there.Unfortunately towards the end of the 2013 season the engine suffered some water ingress into the chambers on one side of the block and subsequently seized up shortly after. We trailered the boat back home to the UK and stripped the engine out in order to have it re-built. The engine was stripped and the block sent to a machine shop to be re-bored. Unfortunately we never received it back as it was somehow lost in the process. We have everything other than the actual engine block. Both heads are here as are the exhaust risers/manifolds and all the ancillaries. I also had a full re-build kit including new pistons, bearings, shells and gaskets ect ready to put it all back together again. That will also be included if I can find them. You can get a reconditioned and ready assembled block complete with pistons ect off classifieds board for £1200 all in. This is probably the route I would have gone down as everything else is here in order to build it back up with.Alternatively you can also get a full complete engine with new manifolds and risers for around 3k. These are worth around £12,000 on classifieds board in working condition so its certainly a worth while little project for someone who has the time. Also needing a mention is the fact that the left windscreen glass somehow got broken while the boat was just sat on the trailer. This is fairly easily replaceable with a good quality piece of perspex. The twin axle trailer was brand new at the time I took the boat out to Ibiza. It tows amazingly well and is extremely stable. That said it has now been sitting for a number of years. The tyres have had very little use but they are beginning to crack a little where they have been sat. If the winning bidder would prefer I can have the tyres changed before they get here to collect the boat. I cant see any other issues at all which would prevent it being towed any distance really. The grey cover in the first picture was purpose made about three years ago at a cost of almost £800. It is extremely lightweight yet very waterproof. It is also fully breathable and has kept the interior of the boat bone dry. There is a wake tower fitted to the boat and I also have a set of Rockford Fosgate can speakers which fit to it and used to sound incredible. I will include these also however it has been some time since they were last used so cant guarantee anything with them. You are more than welcome to come and have a look at the boat any time before the auction ends.
