Hi there and thank you for viewing our add. I have relisted it at a lower price, we have had dozens of questions and offers so i thought i would try and answer most of them on here to save the same questions being asked. Its a Maxum 2700 SCR, 1999 boat with 5.0 litre efi engine. (mercruiser - petrol). Very reliable for starting etc as fuel injected.
The boat is moored at Portavadie Marina - which is 50miles north of Glasgow. She can be viewed there 7 days a week with prior notice. Once sale agreed and £500 deposit paid. We will take her to a marina of your choice, Inverkip, Troon, Largs, Fairile etc and once there it is your responsibility for berthing to have her collected and transported to your destination. I am happy to organise this at your cost - just call.
It has a CD player and it works - plays inside and out It has a TV, we only use it for playing DVDs, there is an aerial but its not connected It has storage underneath all the front seats inside the cabin and also the drivers seat in the cockpit. There are 240V sockets in the cabin for haridryers, phone chargers, kettle, toaster etc, etc they all work from shore power. The fenders that you see are included. There is a electric hob, it works, but we have never used it, we use the micro for some quick snacks but normally eat in the marina restaurant. There are cockpit lights and we normally sit out the back at night with a glass of wine after our little girl is tucked up in bed.
There is a VHF radio which is about 2 years old and it works perfectly -. The aerial mast just hinges forward for transport The toilet works and flushes to a holding tank, the tank can ben pumped out to waste disposal or can be pumped out to sea, There are two switches to press to do that The drive is power trim but its left in the down position as the boat has hydraulic trim tabs for trimming. The steering is power. She has twin batteries which are 3 years old and an auto shore power charger. Rear has a double bed underneath the cockpit and the front converts to a double also.
Sea toilet/shower and sink with running hot water - heated by 240V shore power or by engine running. She has auto bilge in front and rear. Engine room is clean and has a blower for pre start. She has just had hull anti-fouled, and polished, drive has been off for service and new belows fitted and oil and clutch cone done, engine was also serviced and all anodes replaced. This was in excess of £2k.
Engines have about 650 hours on her and we have done 60 hours in the last three years. New stainless prop last year and starter motor. There are no tears or rips in any of the upholstery - they are all in excellent condition with the interior onces being retrimmed at over £1000 when we first bought her as we wanted them in white. Also had the dash refinished this year. She is in excellent overall condition, and we have looked after her well and improved things each year.
If you were buying from a marina or broker you would be looking at price in excess of £25k so what we have advertised her at is a fair price but open to sensible offers. If you have looked at a few boats you will know now how grubby most second hand boats are. With ours she is in excellent condition and ready for the season. We have had various offers, some very close to what we want, so please feel free to make and offer. She uses around 3 to 4 gallon per hour at around 10knots and about 6 to 7 gallon once up on the plane at around 18 knots, tops out at 24 to 25 knots depending on conditions.
I had her running at 26 knots on the sail up to her mooring this year. Please email me if you have any questions at all. Contact me on phone. I live in clarkston and happy to meet to discuss the boat or meet you at Portavadie to view the boat. Payment by cash or direct transfer, buyer must pay £500 no refunable depost upon purchase, but please come and see the boat prior to purchase.
Reason for sale is that I have bought a Sealine S41 in southampton, New boat being trasnported from Southampton to Troon on 23rd April and returning 24th April, I suspect there is an empty load coming back so there may be deal you can do with the transport company. South West Boat Transport Ltd 10 Solent Close Lymington, 0phone If you wish to transport on a trailer - she weighs about 3200kg, we have moved her twice by hiring a trailer as its much cheaper but we only did this for less than 50miles, Here is a link to a vid of her starting off and coming up the plane.
