Boat Type: Cabin Cruiser
14ft Mayland 2 birth cabin cruiser with Mariner 5 horse power 2 stroke engine "we are gonna need a bigger boat" This was our first time entering the boating world and I didn't want anything too big had to be a trailer sailor so I could tow her behind my campervan and park her on the drive as I didnt want costly mooring fees to deal with. Being our fist boat I wanted an easy life getting her in and out of the water. 2 years on and the kids have got a lot bigger and I am now confident in handling a boat and we would like a bit more space. I Bought Lady Liberty in 2016 for £2200 and then set about a refurb as the wife keeps telling me why cant I just leave things alone. Not sure how much she owes me must be in excess of 4k but I am very OCD in the way I like things done "so it right first time every time".
She had a full respray in white the seating pads were re trimmed and new curtains and cushions were made. The engine had a full service by Ullswater marina at the end of the last season, oil, filters, plug, water pump impeller, stanchion oil and seals. Its done about 2hrs since the service. She has a couple of scratches from usual wear and tear when mooring up to jetty's etc but still looks really clean. The only thing I didn't get a chance to refurb was the hood there are a few stains here and there and a couple of clips need replacing but its still fully usable its just that we hardly used it and when we did we only used it as a sun canopy it got packed away and then as usual I would forget to get it refurbed until the next time I used it.
She comes complete with everything you need to get straight in the water you will not have to buy anything except for the fuel to go in her Ill even throw in a new bottle of 2 stroke oil. In our ownership she has been on a quite a few adventures! Regular outings on the Severn Regular outings on the numerous canal loops surrounding Birmingham ( we live by the Tardebigge basin)We did a tour of the lake districtspent 10 days on lake Ullswater (which is shown in our pictures) 7 days on the Norfolk BroadsShe is fully kitted out for the sea minus the GPS and Radio but I was never that brave I have seen Jaws enough times. All in all a lovely first time start boat with no maintenance needed "Just add water" Items included:Engine - Mariner 5 horse power 2 stroke serviced by Ullswater Marina in September 2017remote fuel tankGalvanized trailer with bow guide and hand winchHood/canopy with frameanchor with lineassorted ropesspare wheel and tyrewheel clampbank pole1st aid kitair horn20-40 kilo child life jacket - brand newadults crew save crew fit 40+ kiloadult jobe buoyancy aid 40-90 kiloscrew saver crew fit - has been inflated when one of the kids tripped on the jetty and needs new air cylinder to make it usable again.
