I am advertising this boat on behalf of a good friend of mine. It is a 24ft Mayland special edition. It is so called as there were very few made with a center cockpit. Lou acquired it Just over 3 years ago.It had sat in the Marina and sunk on it’s mooring several time's all for the want of a decent cover. It has been completely gutted inside and rebuilt, all knew cupboards seat bases and steering console.
All new head lining, and all internal hull surface has been lined with carpet. It is powered by a 35hp Salva outboard. This has also been rebuilt that included new pistons and can be seen running . It has been repainted and new coat of anti-fowling applied A new windshield and canopy were also added It is 97% completed. Old age and indifferent health has forced Lou to call it a day.
It is on the hard at the moment but there is a secure mooring available. All fees are paid up until next April. Mooring fees for this boat are about £600 per year in a very secure and peaceful marina just out side Cambridge.If I were not almost the same age and had not got a boat half finished I would by it myself.
