Newbridge Navigator & 8HP Yamaha Outboard (Long Shaft)

She’s definitely a project and I’d characterise this listing as an 8HP Yamaha Long shaft Outboard with a free yacht! The Yamaha is 2-stroke (SRL# 8A 647-L47299), runs well having been serviced earlier this year and comes with a new fuel tank. I’ve only run her for about 10mins since then (on the one & only sail I’ve had before the leaks were found!) The GRP hull has some cracks and will need repairing before going to sea again. The relatively small cracks are on both sides near the keels (2 cracks each side) so you’d need to drop both keels to effect the repairs. I’m told it’s a big job for those who know what they’re doing - I’m not one of those people so I’m hoping someone will take it on as she’s a little beauty on the water.

The inspection report I got after pulling her ashore again said “There are cracks along the sides of each keel on the hull. To put the boat right there is no option but to remove the keels, fibreglass reinforce the hulls, fair and make good and then reseal and fit the keels.“ I got one trip on her before having to pull her out of the water again 72 hrs after she was launched. I’ve owned this Navigator for about 8 months after she’d been ashore a while. The photos of the deck are from my pre-purchase inspection and whilst I’ve cleaned her up a little, she could still do with a proper deck clean. I replaced the cabin windows with new Perspex as the originals had cracked and she was no longer watertight.

As a result, the cabin lining had come away in places so I stripped it all out and sanded it back but haven’t yet replaced the lining. I also haven’t painted the new windows. * Full set of sails with furling jib & double reef main.* Extra sails bagged up and dry.* All rigging in good condition and full working order. Set up to sail single-handed.* Seat cushions (clean & dry)* Chemical toilet* Cockpit cover (good condition, made by C&J Marine cjmarine.co.uk* Anchor & chain* Several fenders (near new)* Navigation lights & wiring installed but some minor repairs to the fuse box are required.* Mounted compass & separate gimbled compass for mounting at rear of the cockpit No trailer. Located ashore at Bosham, Chichester Harbour.

Buyer will need to source a road trailer to take her away or negotiate yard fees immediately after sale (Bosham Yacht Company's yard). No reserve so highest bid wins the outboard & boat!
