15ft Dateline Bikini Speedboat 3.0 v6 Ford Inboard With Jet Drive, No Swap/px ;)

Welcome to my auction Here for sale I have a 15 foot dateline bikini speedboat fitted with a 3.0 Ford v6 inboard engine and jet drive. Firstly the boat has been sat about for a while and will need some work to get it back on the water so would be an ideal winter project. This will make an excellent little boat when finished and just needs someone that can give it that bit of tlc that it needs. Comes with a few extras like skis, life jackets, oars, anchor, few little bits of spares... there is also some paperwork included which I have never come across with any speedboat I've owned. The previous keeper seemed to have spent quite a bit of money on it but it's just been left for at least the last 12 months.

I bought it as a non runner and have since had it running by fitting a recon starter, new points and condensor. The fuel lines seem to be blocked which is more than likely the fuel filter in the engine bay so ive had it running with the fuel pipe directly into a jerry can. The carb will more than likely need removing and cleaning out due to the amount of time it's been stood. Also there are a couple of bits of wiring that need sorting out like the starter wire needs wiring either directly back to the ignition or find the original wire in the loom. The coil has a live to it but it is weak so I had to also put a direct feed to this too.

It's more than likely going to be a few contacts that need cleaning up here and there. The engine runs really well and sounds great. It has a foot throttle fitted, aluminium fuel tank in the front of the hull, ski pole, seats are in reasonably good condition for the age of it which is approx 1979. Another couple of bits that will need attention are the base under the rear seat needs looking at as the wood has started to rot slightly, the orange side padding needs fitting back on the right side of the boat along with the gear control panel. The brakes will also need attention on the trailer but it's a relatively light boat to tow anyway so not too much of a problem.

Lastly it will need a good clean.... Like I say this is a project but is far better than some speedboats that I've come across. The tyres are both okay and wheel bearings have been greased ready for collection. I personally towed it over 100 miles without any problems. Reason for sale is due to I'll health and won't have chance to get it sorted. There's some paperwork claiming that the boat is capable of 50 knots which for a little boat is pretty fast in my books!
