THIS LISTING IS FOR A 1/6 BOAT SHARE/syndicate providing 8 weeks per year. This is a full 1/6 boat ownership In Fairline 45 Fly Bridge with extended bathing platform (1994) 6/8 Berth with Ensuite Cabins. The boat has been privately owned for many years and only came into syndication in 2017. How it Works - Firstly, I would like to point out that I am not selling my share in the boat! I purchased the boat after nearly 2 years of searching to find the right boat, in the right condition with the right specification. So far, have sold one share. I have provisionally sold another share, so therefore there are currently 3 shares available.I have been involved in boats for over 35 years, both in the UK and Mediterranean from 35 to 60 feet.
After selling my last boat I decided that I would only be involved in another one if it was with a group of like minded people (Syndicate). In reality if you own a boat you will probably only use it for 6-8 weeks of the year if you are lucky. The rest of the year it sits in the marina like so many other boats, completely under used, but still having 100% of the ongoing costs. So, you can own a 1/6 of this boat, which has all the benefits of a good-sized boat with high specification but at a realistic cost. Your 1/6 ownership would give you 8 weeks per year, spread evenly over every year and you can also swap weeks with the other owners.I believe what I have set out above is why the group ownership/syndication of a boat works and importantly the boat is used on a regular basis and not left lying idle. Further information and specification on the boat.
The Boat is berthed on the main key at the popular and friendly Marina, Cabo Roig, Costa Blanca between Alicante and Murcia airports next to a lovely beach with bars and restaurants. Being on the main quay rather than a pontoon, allows you to drive your car to the boat which is very convenient.I chose this marina because of its location between two airports and the berth being on the main quay and the 24hour security provided by the marina. The location of the marina also provides some great cruising up and down the coast with lots of other marinas and anchorage points. It is also very close to the Mar Menor which is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe (22 Km long). It has a number of busy marinas with bars and restaurants. The whole lagoon offers lots of sheltered anchorage with lovely beaches. The boat is British Registered, and all the owners will be named on that document.

Maintenance and running costs. An important factor with any boat is not only the purchase costs but the maintenance and running cost on an annual basis. These annual costs include, marina berth with electric, water and VAT, Annual insurance, Mechanical service, End of season lift, cleaning the underside, anti-fouling and replacements of Anodes, independent administrator costs. The total cost per 1/6 share per year is £1,800 paid by standing order at £150 per month to the administrator.I believe that this is a true reflection of the maintenance costs for the year and is considerably cheaper than any other boat share syndicates you may have seen advertised.
There is also no annual call for cash in the winter months for the lifting and anti-fouling etc, as all of the costs are calculated in the monthly standing order. These costs are not estimated they are actual costs for 2017 and 2018. All the above maintenance has just been completed and the boat returned to its berth mid-April 2018.In addition to the above work I have just had the hull and superstructure machine polished which I believe will be a benefit to the syndicate in the years ahead. The service and maintenance of the boat is undertaken by an English Marine Engineer who has been working in Spain for 15 years, for an approved Volvo Penta Service Centre. He is now running his own business, he is very user friendly and his rates are very realistic, he is always at the end of the phone to deal with any problems, questions or queries. Share Agreement The comprehensive share agreement has been drawn up by a solicitor with considerable marine knowledge. The agreement provides the appropriate protection for the syndicate members and the shares can be re-sold or gifted. All decisions relating to the boat will be dealt with by the syndicate on a majority basis. The Boat is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION and has been WELL MAINTAINED which is shown in the photographs.I hope all the above information provides a good overview of this 1/6 boat share and I look forward to receiving enquires from like minded people looking to use and enjoy the boat with all the facilities she has to offer.
