Starley Sea-Nymph 17ft fishing boat with vee shaped displacement hull and fully rebuilt roller trailer. With 2006 Perfect running Tohatsu 3.5hp long shaft motor THE HULL : built 1989 Absolutely awesome solid watertight fishing/work open boat handles waves fantasticly due to its shape and style , in original gel coat which has a few knocks and marks which is to be expected of an almost 30 year old fishing boat , it has a hinged board fitted inside the open cuddy which lifts up for storage underneath and doubles as a platform which I use for putting a foldable chair/Z-bed on also has another section of board that lengthens the platform so I can fold the Z-bed out to sleep on underneath the fitted cover sheet that can be craftily rolled down the boat as far as needed with the help of a telescopic pole that makes it into a very very comfortable and dry bivouac shelter (the sheet can be all the way down from the inside if you are wanting to completely seal it up as it’s fixed on with lift T’ dots for trailer storage and also bungee cords for the purpose of sealing it up from within ) i night fish the rivers for barbel so I generally sleep with the cover 3/4 of the way down the boat this gives me a 2 1/2ft over hang and I never ever get water on my sleeping bag , as the sheet acts like a peak and it’s all very cosy and snug and insanely comfortable- when I use the boat for sea fishing which I also do I remove the cover completely and take out the second bed and have the boat completely bare with only myself a couple of mates and the fishing gear - the boat has a very powerful sea specific manually operated bilge pump which pumps rediculously well and fast - the floor is covered in a one inch lifted honey comb rubber mat textile that is very grippy when wet and wasn’t cheap and it raises you away from any water that may come in from over the sides until you hand pump it out, it has 3 storage cupboards, or 4 if you include under the hinged board so plenty of room to put stuff - there is also now a fish finder on it is not in the pics as classifieds board only let you put so many photos on here , could do with another 10 at least to show you everything that this boat does , the fish finder tells you water temp , water depth , fish location , bottom condition etc , this hull is not your standard mayland/ cjr/ flat bottomed little fishing boat type, you may liken it to a pebble or a cobble etc with a sturdy vee hull for carving through the waves gently and not slamming and getting thrown all over as it’s a sturdy proper sea fishing boat, I’ve been in waves 3x taller than the boat and I felt safe as houses on it - there are 5 rod holders around the boat. Very solid transom and aux transom , very solid no nonsense ideal fishing boat THE ENGINE THERE IS ONLY ONE ENGINE WITH IT 2006 Tohatsu 3.5 longshaft 2 stroke - fully serviced less than 10 running hours ago - very light and powerful ( one of the last pleasure use legal 2 strokes every made) very reliable , very economical as it uses 1.1 litres in 1.5 hours ( I wish my car did that ) pumps water like a fire hose , owned from new by a bus mechanic, then bought by me a heavy plant mechanic 3 years ago , very well looked after all it’s life - very good condition - easy starter perfect runner - absolutely fool proof and very powerful for its weight of 12kg - pushes the boat at 8-10mph at 2/3 revs - turns the boat on a sixpence- forwards and neutral gearing - turn it through 180degrees for reverse- perfect engine for the job - always flushed out after use be it salt water or fresh water usage, to rid it of salt or silt - will show it up and running upon collection THE TRAILER : Fully rebuilt and repainted fully road worthy roller trailer winched trailer - work includes full hub and bearings replacement (packed with proper longlife bearing grease that gives 3x the life or ordinary bearing grease) and indespension units and wheels and tyres (x3) all replaced with the spare wheel padlocked to the spare wheel bracket on the trailer, the tyres still have the little bobbles on them so that shows how new they are - after all work has been done it’s had 4 coats of black hammerite all over it including the indespension units as we all know that they can easily become corroded if not looked after correctly and how expensive they are - the trailer has only done less than 200miles since the rebuild 2 years ago , the trailer was a bit rotten when work began back then and has been strengthened up and is ten times stronger than when it was new so no problem towing it from here to Australia if wanted - whenever she’s been dipped into salt water she’s been swilled off with the marinas fresh water hose everywhere and ran without the boat on for a mile or two to dry the bearings off before I set off on the boat and the same when dipped in fresh water- it’s been looked after . Could do with a better jockey wheel tbh but it’s sound and it works but the low ground pressure wide inflatable tyres are the best in my humble opinion. The trailer is set up perfectly for the boat which makes single handed launching and retrieval an absolute doddle You don’t need a boat safety cert for this as there are no fixed electrics or fixed gas on this boat and because it’s an open boat as long as you run it on less than a 5hp motor you don’t have to have a boat safety in order to purchase a river licence which this boat has about 6 weeks of it remaining - I generally use it with either a 4hp or a 3.5hp and it goes along lovely at around 8-10mph on 2/3 revs or I’ll just tick over and drag a lure down the river for pike fishing which means I’m doing around 1.5 - 2mph - the boat handles absolutely brilliant and is an absolute pleasure to use There’s probably lots of things I’ve forgotten to mention but I’ll add them on as I think of them, phone £1200ono Just needs new skipper as I have a new boat now but I will miss this one , I just wish I had the space to keep both , it really is that good Prefer cash on collection Thanks for viewing
