1/8th Share in a 2001 Azimut 58 named 'Boss' for sale in Port d'Alcudia, Mallorca.Each 1/8th share costs £35,000.00 and gives the new owner 6 weeks use per year with a yearly contribution to the maintenance, mooring and insurance of £400.00 per calendar month. I am looking to sell 5 or 6 shares to like minded people to use, enjoy and take good care of her.Alcudia is the port of choice for this reason, as there are a number of lovely bays nearby for swimming and some easy boating. Alcudia also has a large variety of restaurants for some wining and dining, only a stones throw away from the mooring. To charter a Yacht like this is in the region of £14,000.00 per week, therefore this is practically the cost of a couple of weeks charter a year, while you get 6 weeks per year on an ongoing basis. The value for money is a no brainer.

THE YACHT Built in 2001, she has never been chartered or had any heavy use. Engine hours at 1054 over this period represent very light use. The Kohler 12kva generator has only 850 hours. The latest Raymarine navigation and autopilot system are fully integrated and repeated on the bridge. Plumbing, electrics and mechanics are all in good working order and have been regularly serviced.

She's good to go and great fun! She has had a substantial refit in 2017 including wall linings, carpets etc. As you can see from the photo's this has given it a beautiful modern look and feel to the internal space.She has two double bedrooms, each with a full en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower, One twin room with a separate bathroom, again with a toilet and shower. Plus there is a crew cabin which can be used. Air conditioning in all the cabins and saloon works well.

The cabins are a good size and it is no squeeze for 6 adults to live very comfortably for weeks at a time. There is a main saloon, galley kitchen with hob; microwave; full sized fridge freezer, aft deck seating with table, flybridge seating, sun bathing area's atop the flybridge and two large sunbathing bow cushions. There is, of course, also a tender to use when at anchor to go ashore. CONDITIONS You will need a Day Skipper certificate and an ICC qualification to operate the boat without a captain. Local training on the boat can be provided and takes 3 to 4 days to complete COST COMPARISON Well a new one of these will cost you £2 million.

Which is, quite frankly, a lot. It will also cost you about £25k a year in mooring fees and another £10k in maintenance. Fibreglass doesn't rust and at 1054 engine hours gives almost as much as a new one for a fraction of the cost. Divide that by 8 shares and you don't have to be a millionaire to holiday like this. Of course you can charter a yacht but at £14k a week plus you'd not even get 3 weeks for the total cost of your share.
