21 Ft Yealm Crabber

21Ft Yealm Crabber This beautiful traditional looking crabber was built in Noss Mayo, Devon by the famous Hockaday Brothers sometime in the 80s. She looks like wood but is in fact made from GRP with Iroko gunnels, and seating. She has two small bilge keels, a lifting iron keel, swing down rudder and gunter rig with a roller reef jib, which sails beautifully. The Mercury 4 stroke 4Hp sail drive outboard engine is still in brand new condition having been stored from new and having only been used for the last three seasons - approximately 30-40 hrs running time. She really is in fantastic shape and still has the original gel coat and was varnished last year with new floorboards made from Douglass fir.

She has a small solar panel to charge a battery which runs the automatic bilge pump. The roller reef jib was added last year and actually comes from a Cornish Shrimper this is tan in colour, I also have the original white jib to match the mainsail. There is an anchor, winch handle {which is not needed to trim the jib}, life jackets, a pair of oars with rollocks, boat hook, and other bits and pieces. She is ready to sail and makes a fantastic day boat with lots of seating and is really stable with the keel down. We have had so many great trips out on her sailing, fishing, swimming with the kids we shall be sorry to see her go!
