Engine Make: Mercury
Here for sale is my beloved Crystal 23 Sailing Boat. This is one of the best finished Crystal/Halcyon 23's you'll see. Built in the 60's, there are only a few Crystal 23's in existence. The manufacturers were purchased in the late 60's and the boats then manufactured and named as the better known name; Halcyon 23. Still Muffin is moored at the Waveney River Centre on the Norfolk Broads.
She was overhauled by a professional boat builder based at the Marina 2 years ago where she currently resides. He did an excellent job and she is in very good condition, to be viewed to appreciate her in her full glory. I've had some great adventures on her, but my busy life means I don't have enough time to devote to her. It's time someone else had the chance to create some memories on her. She is 23ft long and has a bilge keel.
She is powered by a Mercury Mariner 4hp outboard engine (included but not used ), although I used my electric Jago 58lbs outboard which is included in the sale. She does feature two outboard brackets so she can cater for both engines simultaneously. A solar panel on the roof charges up her 115amp leisure battery which in turn powers the boats LED lighting and automatic bilge pumps. She has LED lighting inside as some lovely 'mood' strip lights which are a lovely touch. Inside, the interior is in excellent condition with a lovely wooden finish.
There is a pump action tap with a useful slide-out sink. Two storage cupboards and ample seating provide ample seating accommodation which also converts to a double berth if desired. A fore-peak cabin comfortably sleeps 2 on a custom made new foam mattress. Muffin can sleep 4 in total if required. There is a sea toilet in the forepeak cabin.
The finish to the boat is stunning and the boat builder did a fantastic job. In all honestly, I doubt you'd find a better finished Halcyon. She comes equipped with a good mail sail, sail cover and jib. She also comes with a pulley system to lower the mast easily for those low bridges. She is in fabulous condition and is sold with a brand new Boat Safety Certficate for the seller to be able to sail away!
