Bayliner 2560 1989 25ft classic Cabin cruiser with FlybridgeEngine is Mercruiser 350 MagnumBravo 3 out drive with duo propEngine, outdrive, controls and dials were fitted in 2010 all receipts and paperwork present. Recently had new Distributor cap, leads and spark plugs replaced. Also recently had steering arms replaced, impeller replaced and new non return internal exhaust flaps replaced by Boat-Care Portland which was an engine out job £2500 receipts present. This boat has been converted to be more of a day boat as opposed to a sleeper, the lower helm is no longer connected up as we only ever drive from the flybridge and it allows more space in the cabin/galley. (This could be reversed at fairly minimal cost if you wanted).
The original steel fuel tank is no longer connected and has been replaced with a smaller 100L plastic tank that is perfectly fine for cruising around locally. This boat drives really well, the V8 350 Mag is a nice quiet engine that will get the boat up on the plane with ease and the fly by wired throttle control is smooth to operate. The interior has had some recent work , new gloss finish head lining with touch LED lighting that can change from white to blue to add some mood. It does need some love and attention to the exterior, there are a few patches of chipped gel coat to the starboard rear side (well above the water line) that will need filling to make good, the gel coat in general needs a really good cut back and mop as it is very faded and there are still signs of the old pin stripes that have been removed. The flybridge tinted visor is missing a small section on the port side it is only cosmetic but youMay want to have that repaired.
All winter covers are with it but there is a tear in the flybridge cover where it fits Over the damaged area of the visor that will need stitching. When the engine was renewed in 2010 by the previous owner, the original wiring harness was never removed so there is a lot of redundant old wiring that could do with just being removed for cosmetic reasons. It’s never bothered me, but it doesn’t need to be there anymore. Night navigation lights are not currently working but it may just be bulbs that need replacing, we never go out after dark, so it's never been an issue for us. I suppose you could class it as a project, but it is purely tidying up.
We take the boat out regularly into Weymouth Bay and the surrounding coastline and it is great fun! There is also a 9.9hp Mercury auxiliary motor that starts and runs fine and has its own separate fuel tank. I would definitely recommend coming to view before bidding so you can have a good look over her. The boat is on a berth at Portland Marina which does not come with the boat. This is quite a big boat and has no trailer so would need transporting.
Sensible offers will be considered but i would encourage viewing first.
