27' Fiberglass Motor Whaler. Ex R.n Open Launch Diesel Running Project Inboard

27 foot ex royal navy whaler Aprox 7ft beam. Built in the 1970's with heavy extremely strong fiberglass hull which is in excellent condition with no delimitation or osmosis problems. It has a 4cylinder mitsubishi 42hp inboard diesel which although looks slightly scruffy if excellent and starts first time every time and has less than 250 hours from new. She was built as a unsinkable tender ( buoyancy tanks built in to the hull under the internal seating and bow and stern and 27 man life boat for the navy with no expense spared. She swims very nicely with a maximum of 7 knots and is a very sea trialed and worthy boat.

Restored some years ago and now needs light restoration and some time to bring it back to standard. Hull painted in 2k top quality products and in good condition, some woodwork needed to decks ( no rot ) and some wiring and new instrument dials. There is also the mostly completed part of a full stainless telescopic cover and black canvas awning ( picture 7 and 8). Needs finsihings. This raises when in use and can be lowered to form a cockpit cover when not in use currently but fitted but included.

Moored in Twickenham ( may be available by further negotiation to the new owner with the boatyard) and available for viewing / trial by appointment only. New prop and underwater in great condition and easily road transportable. The engine was new before it was put into the boat and was over 5k on its own. There is both a slipway for 4x4 and trailer access most states of tide and also a quayside for hiab flatbed collection most states of tide very close to the boat.
