HiI'm reluctantly selling my unique classic 28ft cabin cruiser after many years of fun.I originally bought her on the bridgewater canal in 1998 in a really poor state.I renovated her over the next 3 years and maked the cabin roof 6" higher (as I'm 6ft 3) My family and I have enjoyed her since but now the kids are older we've had little use of her for the last 3 or 4 years and she now requires a freshening up of the paint work and 1 or 2 of the wooden bits inside. The hull 1930s ex ships life boat, steel with rivets at front and rear that really show her age and solidness. Been plated a few times here and there as to be expected over the years. Was last out the water in 2015 and was re blacked with new annoyeds fitted. The engine.Single cylinder yamahma diesel with electric start ( also has a pull cord flywheel fitted in case u get caught out in a remote area )This was fully recondition by myself in 1999This is connected to a 2:1 reduction gearbox with forwards and reverse.Prop was rebalanced and fitted with a nice propellor. Interior. You enter the boat via a porch type area at the rear of the boat.
There is a gas locker that doubles up as a seat. Then you have some French doors that lead into the wheel house (solid mahogany wheel house) Then down 2 small stairs into the main cabin. On the right is a galley kitchen with oven grill and hob, also a 3 way fridge freezer. On the left is a toilet room ( could easily accommodate a shower with a little work )Then also on the left is a bench seat that is big enough for 1 to sleep on.The right at the front is a v birth double which is seating in the daytime.I've had 6 adults sleeping in the boat when I was younger lol.The cabin roof is lined in a light tongue and groove planking and looks awesome when just varnished. The boat is currently lying in Northwich cheshire on the river weaver. The boat yard charge 250 per quarter for mooring her. The buyer is resonsible for the storage costs as from the date of sale.
