30' Nicholson 303 Sailing Cruising Racing Yacht

Selling our much loved 30' Nicholson 303 sailing yacht named "Wavelet".she is berthed by her own, easy access finger pontoon, in the MDL marina at Brixham in Dorset, a much sought after sailing area with great easily accessible rugged coast line. The berth rental is transferable and comes with water and electric hook up access. The yacht comes with a race pedigree, was raced in the past at Cowes week & The Round Island race, she even won the Royal Thames Yacht club, Newport Citizen's Cup at Cowes back in 1999. The Nicholson 1/2 tonne yachts were renowned for their speed and stability. Wavelet comes with 2 cabins, 1 head, 5 berths, full Galley, chart table & much storage.

Also comes with a full selection of sails including: Fully battened mainsail of Dacron by Banks, spare mainsail of Dacron by North, furling Genoa of Dacron by Banks, spare furling Genoa of Dacron by Banks, Storm Jib of Dacron by North (never used but altered to the furling headsail system), Triradial Nylon Spinnaker by Banks, Radial head spinnaker of Nylon by Banks, Cruising Shute of nylon by Banks. She has a box full of receipts indicating care taken to maintain her over the years, she also comes with an October 2014 survey report. There is a forward "v" double berth cabin with over head opening deck hatch and houses the 30 gallon fresh water tank, then moving back into the main saloon seating area this is separated by way of a series of by folding double doors to form a shower/wash and Lavac sea toilet, room area. In the saloon there is a removable table, seating for up to 5 people, with compact lockers for hanging clothes, drinks cabinet, book shelves and lots of under seat and behind accessible storage.The galley houses a stainless steel Flavel Vanessa 2 burner, gimballed gas cooker with separate grill, large deep integrated cool box/fridge, stainless steel sink fed by a powered 12volt fresh water tap and or foot pumped supply with storage beneath for cooking pots, also there is storage for cutlery, plates and mugs.Opposite the galley is the large chart table area housing the instrument panel, Geonav ll colour GPS chart plotter, Plastimo contest steering compass, Raymarine ST50 auto helm, ST50 depth, ST50 wind speed & direction, ST50 multi display unit and VMG Autohelm 1000 tiller auto pilot, Icon 55 VHF Radio, and music stereo. Behind the chart table is a single berth set over the batteries along with a solar panel that goes on the roof to help charge the batteries when at sea.The engine is set under the companion way behind removable entrance steps and engine access cover.Outside aft there is a massive & very deep Port side storage locker (fenders & spinnaker), rear storage for gas bottles and BBQ's, starboard locker for the mooring warps, all lockable.

At the Bow there is a lockable anchor locker with approx 60' chain & 150' warp attached to a 10Kg Bruce anchoring electric hook up cable with in line usage meter. The headsail is fed by a removable Harken Mk11 twin groove furling system, side Genoa tracks on adjustable cars, mainsail has facility for 2 slab reefs and 3rd block & tackle kicker system and spinnaker hardware.Numerous Jammer winches, Lewmar 6, single speed mainsail reefing winch under the gooseneck, 2 off Lewmar 16, 2 speed halyard/control line winches, 2 off Lewmar 40, 2 speed self tailing primary winches & 2 off Lewmar 25, 2 speed spinnaker winches.Below she is powered by a diesel Yanmar 15hp inboard engine driving a standard drive shaft with folding two blade prop. Up the mast is fitted a Echomax radar reflector . The engine is normally winterised/serviced but this year have left her out on the water as we still like to sail as often as we can with the mild winters. You are welcome to view but only on weekends and only through prior arrangements as I live in Warwick some 3 hours from the boat.

Note: any trial is purely weather and tide dependent. The mooring is paid up for February, current costs are £357/month although there are swinging moorings again within the Brixham marina that are around £110/month, you would ned to sort this yourself though. Relisted as buyer didn't have sufficient funds to complete, ensure you have funds before buying.
