32 Ft Westerly Pentland

For sale my late fathers 1975 32 ft Westerly Pentland named Pentland Folly. Pleasure yacht - Sail and motor Length 8.44 m, breadth 2.89 m, depth 1.70m Gross tonnage 8.6t Built in the UK - Westerly Marine Construction Ltd. 1975 Purchased in Cyprus in 1998 and following a couple of great years sailing the Mediterranean was returned due to work commitments to the UK - Poole/ Wareham Dorset. Up to 2010 Pentland Folly has had light usage throughout the summer on day trips around Poole harbour and was moored on the River Frome near Wareham. She was removed and stored in a boat yard in the winter months were general maintenance was carried out such as antifoul, engine service, cleaning ect.

Pentland Folly has been out of the water and in storage since 2010, were she has had an annual turn of the engine and check of the systems. Newly installed beta marine engine 28bhp in 2003 - light usage since. She was started up in late 2016 and worked perfectly. New sails purchased in 2003 - light usage since. Part refurbished including new headlining in main cabin, new ports to fwd cabin, aft cabin and a new hatch in the fwd cabin.

Unfortunately the planned full refurbishment was never completed therefore this would be a great project boat for prospective buyers. Unfortunately the aft cabin headlining was redone in 2010 however due to the condensation this has fallen down from the deck head, a common issue on Westerlys. All sails included in good condition All cushions included TLC required - I have recently been to the boat for a general clean but it will need more cleaning and general paint / tidy of decks, wood and anitfoul. Toilet also required, the broken one has been removed awaiting a replacement.
