50' Tug Boat Live Aboard

Birmingham Canal Navigation 50' wooden tug boat page - 'Progress'. Built in 1934, Progress was fully rebuilt between 1997 and 2000 by Jem Bates and Trevor Whitling Everything that needed to be done was replaced. The present Fowler 2DYM diesel engine (1944) was first installed in Progress in 1958. Spare engine and gear box included in the sale. The cabin has been reconstructed and fitted out in reclaimed oak retaining some of the original frames.

The 2 (+2 children) cabin has heating from Classic stove and diesel Refleks heater, hot water and shower from engine/Refleks/240 volt immersion. Progress has just been docked, caulked and tarred. For sale now as my family want a bigger boat - she is a truly lovely boat :) Delivery can be arranged - currently moored in the midlands near to Braunston - mooring may be transferable subject to boat yard agreement.
