50ft. Narrowboat Gipsy Moth V Unfortunately we have to sell our lovely boat Gipsy Moth V as we move abroad. We bought her nearly three years ago and she has been very good looked after. We have enjoyed living on her very much and got freedom and the connection to the nature back which is quite restricted here in London. During summer 2015 we stripped down the old paint to bare metal and repainted the exterior with high quality narrowboat paint, so she has a new shine finish which is dark red with black boarders and a light grey roof. The Beta engine was fitted in 2006 and has been regularly serviced.
A new PRM gearbox was fitted at the end of 2015. She was last blacked in September 2016 and have scheduled a full engine service this April 2017. Boat safety has been renewed recently and is valid until mid 2020. The interior is partly original from 1986 with new kitchen & bathroom fitted in May 2015. She has a brilliant layout which is: at the front a nice exterior seating space.
Inside, next to the entrance door a wardrobe for coats and jackets and the dining and kitchen area (new kitchen with Belling gas oven/grill and hob, basin and kitchen cupboards and fridge). After the kitchen comes the cosy snug with its brilliant Morso Squirrel stove which keeps everyone warm during winter. Through the bathroom and the walk through wardrobe you get to the bedroom. She has a cruiser stern which is perfect to have friends over for a cruise, to lock the bikes or to have a table with chairs. There is lots of storage, which we found can be a big problem on other boats.
