Welcome to The Galvanised boat company. Here at The Galvanised Boat company we hot dip galvanise all of our hulls. This is to give a massively extended life to the hull as well as to greatly reduce the need for maintenance i.e doesn't need to come out of the water no where as often as a painted hull.Galvanising is a tried and tested process throughout the world with numerous metal objects being galvanised to protect from the elements. The main advantages to hot dip galvanising is that we cover all areas inside and out, including the inside of skintanks/rudder tubes ect.The finished hull looks the same as any traditional boat with the bottom being blacked and the cabin being painted. You have got the piece of mind of knowing that your large investment is greatly protected with the galvanising process and with reduced maintenance.
All our shells are built to a very high standard include;Galvanised hull10mm base6mm hull side4mm cabinengine bedskeel cooling tanksfront and rear mooring bollardsfront and rear steel doorslarge rear hatchpole and plank holderwindows to be cut to customers specJoshua inspired bow with beautiful linesslide out battery trays for easy access and maintenance of batterieslarge deck lid to engine compartment for easy access for maintenanceboat name laser cut into shellNone integral diesel tanks the benefits of this are that they are completely removable so fuel contamination can be dealt with i.e diesel bug, water, sludge ect. Also condensation caused inside the diesel tank doesn't rot the sides of the hull, from the inside out. We also include an 150mm access hole in the tank for checking the inside of the tank. There are 4 outlets to run engine diesel heaters ect. If you have looked at the photos you have noticed a piece of bollard rail next to our mooring, that is bumped into by boats and is partly in the water and partly out.
This is galvanised and has been in the water for the last 20 years with very little deterioration. This is where our original concept of galvanising the hull came from. Our aim is to produce boats to a very high standard and reduce the corrosion factor as well as maintenance to as little as possible. Drop us an email or a call to go through the spec you require. Many thanks
